EXPANSION ABBOTT LABS

HEAPY previously provided Commissioning Services for Abbott Laboratory’s new 250,000 SF Liquid Nutrition Manufacturing Facility and subsequently designed the MEP systems associated with the 277,500 SF addition of a new distribution facility. Abbott is a global, broad - based health care company devoted to the discovery, development, manufacture and marketing of pharmaceuticals and medical products, including nutritionals, devices, and diagnostics

This state-of-the-art plant specializes in ASEPTIC PACKAGING TECHNOLOGY and was designed and constructed for Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). The expansion includes additional storage and distribution warehouse facility for packaged food products, office space, shipping and receiving space and future tenant space.

Abbott produces two of their leading brands, Ensure and Glucerna, in this plant. The first line inside the plant produces 800 bottles of Ensure per minute, or more than 1 million bottles a day.

Our commissioning services included the Chiller and CHW Systems, Cooling Tower and CW Systems, AHU, and Compressor and Desiccant Air Dryer.
