Knowing that not all oral solid dose pharmaceuticals come packaged from the original manufacturer in unit-of-use or unit dose packaging, we are forced to rely on the extemporaneous packaging of oral solids. We have long recognized this need and carry a wide range of unit dose packaging materials - blisters and lidding to provide users the ability to pick the appropriate packaging components that meet their specific criteria. Our Unit Dose Blister and Label product line provides the ability for pharmacists to choose the blister and label combination appropriate to meet their site-specific packaging decision criteria.

HCL commissions the performance of USP Package testing to classify all of its packaging materials in accordance with USP Package Class Ratings (USP 27 Section <671>). This testing is rendered to permit an informed judgement regarding the suitability of the package for a particular type of product. We acknowledge that the final package is a combination of the blister material and the lidding (labeling) stock.

The testing performed keeps this combination in mind and classifies our packaging materials in this fashion.

•The Box-Card is the same size as a punch card and stores and dispenses ODT medication in the manufacturer’s original unit dose package.

• Once the Box-Card is filled, the patient’s prescription label can be applied and the box is ready for delivery.

• This system is made to keep all ODTs in the same flow as regular tabs/caps.
