Pandemic Needs

Masks were practically everywhere during the COVID-19 pandemic, which was the problem that led to this solution. Our customer wanted to keep masks in a centralized location that was easy to stock, easy to access and easy to clean. Our Metals and Plastics teams worked together to create this four-sided dispensing, which met the customer's exact needs on time and within budget.

Teamwork is built into every product. After the Rx Destroyer™ Rx Lock Box™ (20050), is cut out and deburred, Grady Rowe bends each part then sends it to the welder who puts in the lock, welds the box, polishes it, cleans it, bags it, then boxes it for shipping. The current production schedule is 250 boxes every 25 days, completed by two fabricators.

When a customer needed two separate locking compartments within the same container, our team designed a solution. This two-in-one cabinet controls access to sorted contents and reduces unnecessary traffic in and out of patient rooms, especially those in isolation. A frosted finish minimizes visibility for patient privacy. It was so popular, it became a stock product.

HCL® Sink Splash Guard

A Pharmacy Inventory Supervisor took advantage of our made-to-order services when he needed a device manufactured to meet The Joint Commission’s requirement for splash guards in med prep areas that aren’t at least three feet from sinks. With specs in hand, our Plastics by Design team got to work.
