Knowing that not all oral solid dose pharmaceuticals come packaged from the original manufacturer in unit-of-use or unit dose packaging, we are forced to rely on the extemporaneous packaging of oral solids. We have long recognized this need and carry a wide range of unit dose packaging materials - blisters and lidding to provide users the ability to pick the appropriate packaging components that meet their specific criteria. Our Unit Dose Blister and Label product line provides the ability for pharmacists to choose the blister and label combination appropriate to meet their site-specific packaging decision criteria. HCL commissions the performance of USP Package testing to classify all of its packaging materials in accordance with USP Package Class Ratings (USP 27 Section <671>). This testing is rendered to permit an informed judgement regarding the suitability of the package for a particular type of product. We acknowledge that the final package is a combination of the blister material and the lidding (labeling) stock. Easy Fill Vials with Plugs • Use for the extemporaneous unit dosing of oral liquid medications. • Easily fill from the bottom fill openings; seal securely with the accompanying plugs. • Plug dispenser (sold separately) is available which assures proper plug placement and a safe, secure seal on every vial. Vials, Caps & Hand Crimper • Intended for use in the extemporaneous unit dose filling of oral liquids. • Available in glass or plastic in sizes up to 60mL and sealed with tamper-evident caps (sold separately). • Once filled, a hand crimper securely seals the cap onto the vial. These vials are easy to use and ideal for preparing small quantities of liquid unit dose medications. • The Amber glass vials are available in 15, 30 and 60mL sizes. They are made of a Type 3 sodium lime glass and meet the USP Type III standards of light protection for light-sensitive medications. • The Amber plastic vials resemble the glass vial in appearance, but are lightweight and hard to break. The Amber plastic vials also meet the USP requirements of light transmission for light sensitive medications.
