Massachusetts Bay Sailing Association classes. One-design classes may be specified at the discretion of the JYC Race Committee provided enough entries are received (target five boats). No handicap certificate will be required for boats entering a one-design class. 3 Registration: Competitors may enter online at www.regattaman.com. 4 Fees: $50.00 less $5 for USSA, and/or less $5 for MBSA. JYC Season Pass holders receive 50% off registration fee. 5 Handicap System: ORR-ez time on time will be used. 6 Rules: The Phil Small Race will be governed by the Mass Bay Sailing Association General

Sailing Instructions except as changed by the Phil Small Race Sailing Instructions. 7 Notices to Competitors: Notices to competitors will be posted on www.jycracing.org. 8 Schedule of Races: One race will be held. 9 Race Start: The warning for the first fleet will be 1 200. 10 Racing Area: Salem Sound, starting in the vicinity of Curtis Point. 11 The Course: MBSA Standard Rounding Marks, Lists A & B, or MBSA Standard Courses using inflatable marks. 12 Marks: If MBSA Standard Courses are used the inflatable marks will be tetrahedrons or cylinders. 13 Recalls: The JYC Race Committee will use VHF channel 72. 14 Time Limit: The time limit shall be three and one half (3 ½) hours from the start of each class. If no boats in that class finish within the time limit then the race shall be abandoned for that class. The time limit may be extended at the discretion of the JYC Race Committee on VHF channel 72. 15 Finishing Window: Any yacht that has not finished within 45 minutes after the first yacht in its class to finish will be scored OTL (Over Time Limit) and will be given a finishing position one lower than the last boat to have finished within the time limit. 16 Prizes: Prizes will be awarded for the first and second place finishers in each class.

Social Activities: As always, skippers, crew, and their guest are welcomed back at the club to participate in the legendary JYC Hospitality. Food, libations, and more will be served both before and after the awards.
