SHAKE IT EASY

OUR FAVOURITE SUMMER DRINK

BY NIC SHANKER Life is too short for boring drinks.

British barkeeper Nic Shanker lives by this motto. In his book Shake it easy, he reveals his special cocktails and long drinks.

For the perfect summer night story, he shares with us the recipe for one of his all-time favourite drinks: Rappel de Provence.

Mash the grapes in a shaker. Add the remaining ingredients, except for the absinthe, and shake with plenty of ice. Double-strain into a tumbler and then add 1–2 drops of absinthe, or use a nebuliser if desired. Serve the drink with fresh ice cubes and garnish with thin strips of cucumber.

THE TASTE OF SUMMER PASTA MARSEILLES

Heat the pan with the olive oil. After 30 seconds add the garlic, followed by the onions and zucchini then the shrimp. Once the shrimp is cooked, add the butter, pepper and basil. Finally the pasta. Mix it with more basil, pepper, salt and lemon juice for one minute.

With the motto “BE ACTIVE!” the newly launched JOOP! activewear will accompany the modern woman in all sporting activities from summer 2022 on: whether indoors or outdoors, at the gym or on the yoga mat – the individual styles with various performance features support the wearer in becoming more active while also remaining fashionable and feminine.

Design details, such as elegant tulle sections and carefully positioned logo elements, break up the functional look for a more stylish effect.
