I want to take a moment to remember my mother, who passed away two months ago. She was my biggest supporter, always cheering for me and encouraging me to pursue my dreams. She had planned to be there with me at the event, sharing in the joy of our accomplishments. Her spirit and love continue to inspire me, reminding me of the importance of community and the impact we can have together.

I want to take this moment to reinforce why I am a proud member of the Hispanic Dental Association: we are improving the quality of life for Hispanics “What are you waiting for? Join us today!”

As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, it brings me immense pride to honor the rich culture, history, and contributions of Hispanic Americans This year marks a significant milestone for our organization as we commemorate 35 years of advocacy, education, and community service within the dental profession Since our founding in 1990, the HDA has tirelessly worked to promote the oral health of Hispanic communities while fostering an inclusive dental workforce

Our efforts have been pivotal in addressing health disparities, increasing access to care, and empowering Hispanic dental professionals through mentorship, education, and leadership opportunities. Hispanic Heritage Month serves as a reminder of the vibrant tapestry of cultures that shape our society. It allows us to reflect on the achievements of Hispanic individuals in dentistry and beyond those who have broken barriers, inspired future generations, and contributed to the advancement of our field.
