How To Never Miss A Day Of Your Medication Most people can’t go a day without a cup of coffee or checking their e-mail. But with the demands of everyday life it’s not surprising that about 50 percent of patients sometimes fail to take their daily medications as prescribed.

According to a new survey by WebMD, over the past six months one-third of respondents either sometimes or most of the time missed taking their medication as prescribed even though 76 percent know it can cause their condition to worsen or symptoms to return.

The Plaintiffs seek to quiet title on residential real estate at 720 Tramway NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico (herein the “Property”).

A complete legal description is included in this Notice. The Stones were the original owners and sold the Property to McCaleb, Nusbaum & Thomas, Inc. on a real estate contract in 1977. The warranty deed from the Stones to McCaleb was lost and never recorded. Patricia D. Lenzer, Martin Lenzer and Thomas Lenzer bought the Property and Martin Lenzer and Patricia D. omcast NBCUniversal today announced that it has awarded $30,000 in scholarships for the 2019-2020 school year to 12 New Mexico students as part of its annual Leaders and Achievers® Scholarship Program. Students are selected for their outstanding community service, academic performance, and leadership skills.

The award, funded by the Comcast NBCUniversal Foundation, is a one-time, $2,500 scholarship to be used toward undergraduate education-related expenses. New App Makes it Easier to Raise Funds for Your School

G

earing up for back-toschool season is no longer just about new backpacks, teacher assignments and school supply lists. For schools, summer is also a reminder that they have their work cut out for them in trying to secure additional funding to provide students with the best possible education.

But while schools themselves have many ways to fundraise and advocate for expanded federal, state and local budgets, it’s parents who increasingly find themselves turning to innovative programs like Box Tops for Education to raise money for things like classroom supplies, technology, field trips and playground equipment. In fact, since its inception in 1996 -when only a select few General Mills cereals were part of a test launch - Box Tops for Education has raised more than $913 million for 70,000-plus schools just by paying 10 cents for every clip submitted from what’s now a long list of participating food and household products.

Even better, a new app has simplified the entire process.

No longer do parents, teachers and other community members have to cut out and then physically drop off dozens, or even hundreds, of Box Tops clips at their local school. Instead, they’re now able to use the Box Tops for Education app - downloadable for free via iTunes App Store and Google Play - to scan their receipts from any retailer right on their smartphones.

The app automatically recognizes participating products, and funds are instantly added to your chosen school’s earnings online. Twice each year, schools receive a check from Box Tops for Education to buy whatever they need.

“When Box Tops for Education began 23 years ago, clipping and mailing

Box Tops was the best way for us to run the program,” said Erin Anderson, Box Tops for Education’s platform manager.

“But over the years, technology has advanced at incredible rates, opening up all kinds of new opportunities. By going digital, we will be able to create efficiencies in our fulfillment processes, better understand the health of the program, show supporters their contributions in real time, and attract more brands to participate.”

Convenience aside, shoppers using the app have two big advantages: * The ability to see for themselves, right on the app, how their shopping habits directly impact their schools. * A chance to win one of five $20,000 makeovers for their school by scanning receipts containing at least one participating product between now and November 15, 2019.

Receipts must be scanned within 14 days of purchase. And as the program fully transitions to a digital format, traditional Box Top clips found on packaging will still be accepted until they expire.

And, yes, “double dipping” is allowed. Meaning, for a limited time only during the packaging transition, savvy shoppers can earn double the cash by submitting traditional Box Top clips to their school’s coordinator and also scanning receipts containing participating items through the app.

Those without smartphones are encouraged to give their receipts to a friend, neighbor or family member to be scanned on their behalf.

Contest Promotes Emerging SciFi Writers and Illustrators

spiring artists and authors in the science fiction and fantasy arena have an outlet to finding a wider audience, thanks to the L. Ron Hubbard Achievement Award.

The award, now in its 36th year, has long been an opportunity for a promising debut for professional writers and illustrators in science fiction and fantasy.

“The contest was formed for a purpose beyond simply giving awards - it was intended to help foster the next generation of master writers,” states Joni Labaqui, the Contests’ Administrator.

L. Ron Hubbard, one of the most recognized and prolific American writers, created and endowed the Writers of the Future Contest in 1983 to help foster new talent in science fiction and fantasy writing.

For writers, the contest is a chance to have their work judged by professional authors who are among the masters of the SciFi and fantasy genre and to be discovered by a wide audience. Entrants retain all publication rights to their work, and there is no entry fee. The contest awards quarterly first, second, and third prizes of $1,000, $750, and $500 every three months. One of these four quarterly first-place winners is selected as the Grand Prize winner for the year. The Grand Prize Winner

receives the L. Ron Hubbard Golden Pen Award and an additional $5,000.

The judging protocol and prize structure is the same for illustrators. The Grand Prize Winner is chosen from quarterly winners to receive the L. Ron Hubbard Golden Brush Award and an additional $5,000 cash.

The 35th annual award winners were Andrew Dykstal and Aliya Chen, who were honored at a gala event this spring in Hollywood, Calif. Prior to the awards ceremony, writer and artist winners spent a week enjoying workshops with established writers, artists, and publishing professionals.

“I feel that my career as a writer has now been catapulted,” says Mr. Dykstal, Grand Prize Writing Award Winner for 2019.

Ms. Chen, winner of the Grand Prize Illustrator’s Award, says: “Winning this Grand Prize Award is validation for me that illustration, which is a passion for me, doesn’t have to be limited to a hobby, but it’s definitely possible as a career.”
