Facilitated team building and communication activities. Games focus on communication, breaking down stereotypes and negotiation skills.

Braided Dog Toy Activity

Turn an old t-shirt into a fun toy for your dog! Use old t-shirts and supplies to craft pet toys. Bring your creation home or donate to Pet Resources/Community Pet Project.

Session 2B: Clue Murder Mystery

Courtyard*

Can your group solve who had the means, motive, and opportunity to commit a deadly crime? Working together, your team will try to solve a mystery using clues, case files, and logic.

Guest Presenters Dustin Krein, M.Ed. Dustin Krein, M.Ed., is a Program Planner in the Office of Community Engagement and Partnerships at the University of South Florida. Mr. Krein serves in a key role facilitating partnerships with Tampa Bay organizations, serves as liaison with the College of Education, oversees the office’s Community-Based Federal Work Study program and serves on multiple community boards as a representative of the University. Before arriving at USF, Mr. Krein served four terms of AmeriCorps working with at-risk youth from the inner city of Little Rock and Upward Bound students in New England. He studied abroad in China briefly before earning his master’s degree in counselor education. His experience includes career counseling, nonprofit development, faculty support, and partnership development. Additionally, he is a doctoral student at USF, pursuing an Ed.D. in Program Development with an emphasis in Educational Innovation.

Renée McCummings Renée McCummings, our Leadership Development – HR Partner, comes with a wealth of experience leading learning programs for organizations including Raymond James Financial Services Inc., AAA, and Norwegian Cruise Lines. She has her graduate degree in Management and Leadership from Liberty University and her undergraduate in Adult Education from Cornell, along with multiple certifications including Situational Leadership, DISC, Myers Briggs assessments, and others. Since joining the County last year she has established herself as an insightful professional development consultant and facilitates several of our leadership development courses. Renée also leads the Leadership Pathway online learning program and has introduced this great platform to leaders throughout the County.

Friday and weekend dress code applies.

Venue is self-park. Carpooling is encouraged from the Jan Kaminis Platt Regional Library, Technical Services Center, and the Charles J. Fendig Public Library. Coffee and light snacks will be served during the morning reception and afternoon break. Water service will be available all day in the reception area.

Closing Notes Staff Day concludes after the closing ceremony. Thank your Friends of the Library groups for sponsoring this event.
