Sotogrande vive un momento estratégico Esta edición que usted sostiene de El Periódico de Sotogrande bien se está entregando en estos momentos en mano (o ya lo ha hecho), por los pasillos de Ifema durante la celebración de la edición 2022 de la Feria de Turismo Internacional Fitur. Sin duda, el gran escaparate turístico-político de cada uno de los destinos nacionales e internacionales más destacados del sector. Todo en la vida no es casualidad. Días antes de esta feria internacional se han dado a conocer de manera pública diferentes macro-proyectos que tienen en común dos principales factores en la zona: elevar el nivel de calidad y una fuerte inversión de capital en el entorno. Sin duda, la urbanización atraviesa en estos momentos un punto estratégico para consolidar ciertos aspectos que cuando la serpenteante curva del ciclo económico varíe permita mantener a flote el poder de riqueza y empleo en la zona. Si bien sólo hemos avanzado unos pocos dígitos en el calendario de 2022, la aparición en el foco mediático de Sotogrande no ha hecho más que crecer. Especialmente, cómo no, ante la aparición de las últimas informaciones relacionadas con el sector negocios por las diferentes inversiones anunciadas estos días y que han situado al resort en todas las cabeceras especializadas. Justo unas horas antes de la entrada en rotativa de esta edición de El Periódico de Sotogrande, Especial FITUR 2022, adelantábamos en exclusiva en nuestra plataforma digital (Sotograndedigital.com) la adquisición por parte de cadena hotelera del futbolista argentino Leo Messi, MIM Hotels, del Hotel Club Marítimo Sotogrande. A todas luces, una fabulosa noticia para el entorno, por el evidente reclamo que ya tiene esta entidad de hoteles boutique ‘premiums’ y por su asociación a nivel mediático a uno de los nombres más universales que existen. Algo que certific una nueva apuesta de un capital destacado por la inversión en Sotogrande, algo que no ha parado de suceder en los dos últimos años. Una fantástica noticia que se abraza con la que ya aparecía durante el periplo navideño de una inversión asociada a la Familia Rockefeler, que plantea demás la construcción de un campo de golf, otro hotel boutique y un complejo de villas de alto nivel. Más inversión de calidad de Sotogrande. Y a todo ello, por si fuera poco, hay que sumarle lo que ya conocemos y venimos contándole en los últimos tiempos: La Reserva Club continúa con su impresionante plan de desarrollo urbanístico, ya se encuentra en estudio las 40 villas que se construirán con vistas a The Beach además de la primera fase de Village Verde. Y por su parte, La Hacienda Alcaidesa Links Golf Resort sigue a toda máquina, de la mano del Grupo Millenium, con la construcción de su nuevo hotel cinco estrellas que además lleva aparejado nada menos que 53 villas de lujo, un centro deportivo o la reforma del campo Links (su reapertura está prevista para el próximo verano). ¿Quién da más? Sotogrande. A todos estos nombres propios hay que añadirle varias promociones urbanísticas en marcha, tanto en la urbanización como en su zona de influencia (San Roque Club, Alcaidesa, Carretera de las Arenilllas, rehabilitaciones en grandes villas de Kings & Queens, etc), y por supuesto, mencionar que sólo han trascurrido seis meses de la apertura de SO/ Sotogrande y el enorme impulso que eso supuso para la urbanización. En definitiva, Sotogrande ejerce más que nunca ese poder e imán hacia la gran inversión de calidad y eso se traduce, sin duda, en generación de riqueza y empleo en la zona. Antes de acabar, un último apunte para los más polistas. Ayala confirmó su acuerdo con Santa María Polo Club para la gestión en los próximos años del Torneo Internacional de Verano, sin duda, una buena noticia y un impulso para llevar aún a cotas más altas el Gran Slam de Sotogrande. El hotel boutique ubicado en el puerto deportivo se incorpora como sexto hotel de la cadena, orientada a destinos destinos ‘premiums’ como: Ibiza, Mallorca, Sit-

Sotogrande: escenario idílico para el gran proyecto de la familia Rockefeller en España • El ‘masterplan’ contemplaría el desarrollo de una comunidad residencial privada de gran lujo, un nuevo campo de golf de 18 hoyos y un hotel boutique cinco estrellas en la urbanización. M. Gil
Sotogrande, foco de todas las miradas y una apuesta segura para grandes inversiones. La ilustre saga estadounidense Rockefeller, a través de la alianza con diversos grupos de inversores como ICICB Developments y Brands Lab International, habría puesto la mirada de manera muy especial en Sotogrande para el desarrollo de un ambicioso plan urbanístico que recoge la construcción de una comunidad residencial privada de lujo, un campo de golf de 18 hoyos y un hotel cinco estrellas, según recogen varios medios de comunicación especializados en el sector negocios (El Confidencial, Brainsre. News o Desarrollo Hotelero, entre otras). Las diferentes informaciones destacan el desarrollo de esta gran proyecto en unos terrenos de más de dos millones de metros cuadrados de extensión, colindantes con la Finca La Alcaidesa, con el objetivo de impulsar una nueva comunidad residencial en la urbanización de muy alto nivel y con estándares de élite, preservando siempre ese perfil sostenible y ecológico integrado en el entorno. El estudio de arquitectura Arche, dirigido por el italiano Marco Casamonit, sería el encargado de diseñar las imponentes villas unifamiliares que formen parte de este nuevo complejo, según matizan las informaciones existentes hasta el momento; un resort en el
que la alta tecnología, la eficiencia energética y conceptos tan importantes como seguridad, disección, naturaleza, deporte de calidad o salud marcarían el gran valor diferencial. Después de los inevitables excesos navideños, viene a colación comentar la relación que hay entre el eje cerebro, intestino y microbiota. Si ya en un artículo anterior hicimos referencia a la importancia de la coherencia cardiaca (cerebro y corazón en sintonía), en esta ocasión comentaremos sobre las investigaciones que se están llevando a cabo referentes al funcionamiento intestinal y su interacción con el cerebro. La microbiota, o flora intestinal, está conformada por bacterias y microorganismos que viven en nuestro interior. La mayoría de ellos, en contraposición a lo que se pensaba son beneficiosos, ya que aparte de aportarnos los nutrientes necesarios son los responsables de nuestro sistema inmune. Cada persona nace con una microbiota diferente, dependiendo por ejemplo, de si su nacimiento fue por parto natural o cesárea. A lo largo de nuestra vida, los factores tanto externos como la exposición a elementos contaminantes, medicamentos (sobre todo los antibióticos), como internos, tales como la gestión de las emociones, van modificando tanto positiva como negativamente esta fabulosa colonia. Su importancia es tal, que algunos estudios recientes señalan la relación de la flora intestinal con enfermedades neurodegenerativas como el alzheimer. Hasta ahora sabemos que la relación entre cerebro e intestino es intuitiva. En alguna ocasión hemos tomado algún alimento que no nos ha sentado muy bien y nos ha producido cierto malestar emocional. De forma análoga, los disgustos nos han provocado alteraciones intestinales. De hecho, el estrés mantenido durante largo tiempo pone en marcha la producción de cortisol (hormona del estrés), ésta llega desde el torrente sanguíneo al intestino provocando la alteración de la microbiota y desencadenando a su vez otras enfermedades intestinales más

Other studies link the Mediterranean diet to an improvement in attention and other cognitive functions, reduced fragility in older people and greater oxidative protection.

Turismo: consolidar la recuperación El turismo volvió a ponerse en marcha en 2021, y se espera que la recuperación se consolide en 2022. Fitur refleja esta evolución optimista, y ha vuelto a celebrarse de manera presencial en el recinto ferial de Ifema en Madrid –ajustándose también a la tradición de celebrarse a comienzos de año, durante los meses de enero o febrero, mientras que en 2021 tuvo lugar en mayo y de forma híbrida, presencial y virtual. Este panorama halagüeño no significa que el turismo haya vuelto a su situación prepandémica, algo que la asociación Exceltur no prevé que pueda suceder antes de la segunda mitad de 2023. No se puede olvidar que el sector fue el más golpeado por el coronavirus, una amenaza que no ha desaparecido, ni mucho menos, como hemos visto recientemente, con brotes en cruceros en algunos países. El impacto de la crisis sobre el empleo fue considerable: más de la mitad de los trabajadores acogidos a ERTE están vinculados con el
turismo. La reforma laboral del Gobierno también preocupa a las empresas, en una actividad que por su naturaleza registra elevados niveles de temporalidad. Con todo esto dicho, sin embargo, las altas tasas de vacunación a las que hemos llegado, la menor letalidad de la variante ómicron, y la reactivación de la economía, han mejorado las expectativas de manera notable, tanto en lo referido a
la llegada de visitantes extranjeros a España como en lo correspondiente al turismo nacional. En estas condiciones, se entienden las opiniones optimistas de los empresarios, que apuntan a una excelente temporada de verano. Algunos hablan incluso de boom turístico después de Semana Santa. Un aspecto importante es el cambio registrado en los criterios de la
política sanitaria. La idea de que hay que cerrar toda la economía ante la presencia de un virus, que fue considerada poco menos que una verdad revelada, ahora es puesta cada vez más en cuestión. Las autoridades de Estados Unidos y otros países se están aproximando a lo que anteriormente pocos políticos defendían: mantener la economía funcionando mientras se lucha contra el virus.

Under these conditions, the optimistic opinions of business people are understandable, pointing to an excellent summer season. Some peo-
ple are even talking about a tourist boom after Holy Week. One important aspect is the change recorded in the criteria of the health policy. The idea that it is necessary to shut down the entire economy when faced with a view, which was considered little less than a revealed truth, is now being increasingly questioned. The authorities in the United States and other countries are approaching what few politicians previously defended: keeping the economy working while fighting against the virus.

San Roque despierta “emociones” en Fitur • El municipio sanroqueño regresa a la edición de 2022 de la Feria Internacional de Turismo bajo el lema: “San Roque, donde residen las emociones”.
San Roque vuelve en 2022 a Fitur, la Feria Internacional de Turismo de Madrid, con una amplia agenda de actividades. Además de los contactos con turoperadores y oficinas de Turespaña, el Ayuntamiento presenta sus nuevos materiales de promoción turística en los stands de Mancomunidad y de Diputación de Cádiz en el recinto ferial madrileño. El alcalde, Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix, detalla que el Ayuntamiento volverá a ir de la mano de los agentes turísticos del municipio, agrupados en el lema “San Roque, donde residen las emociones”. También se darán a conocer un vídeo promocional, la nueva web de la Oficina de Turismo, una nueva Guía Turística y una publicación pensada para el público infantil. Además, se apoyarán iniciativas privadas de turismo adaptado a personas con discapacidad.
El municipio se prepara para un calendario lleno de eventos y citas muy destacadas como el Andalucía Masters en Valderrama, Torneo Internaiconal de Polo, Semana Santa, regatas, ferias y mucho más. Ruiz Boix recordó que durante los tres primeros días de la feria (miércoles, jueves y viernes de la semana próxima), la actividad de la representación sanroqueña en Fitur se centrará en exponer la oferta turística del municipio a touroperadores, profesionales y representantes de distintas administraciones de más de cien países. Los otros dos días, el sábado y el domingo, se dirigirán al público en general.
Apuntó que en esas tres primeras jornadas participará en las presentaciones que se llevarán a cabo tanto en el stand de la Mancomunidad de Municipios como en el de la Diputación de Cádiz apoyando la promoción turística de la comarca y de la provincia. Y, sobre todo, dando a conocer los atractivos “del mejor municipio del mundo, San Roque”. The municipality of San Roque is returning to the 2022 edition of the International Tourism Fair with the slogan: “San Roque, where emotions live”.

On the other two days, Saturday and Sunday, they will be aimed at the general public. He stated that on those three first days, it will participate in the presentations that will be carried out, both in the stand of the Association of Municipalities as well as in that of the Provincial Council of Cadiz, supporting tourism promotion in the region and province. And, above all, promoting the attractions of “the best municipality in the world, San Roque”. Ayala Polo Club acuerda con Santa María la gestión del Torneo Internacional de Verano
• La reconocida entidad confirma su acuerdo para gestionar el Grand Slam de Sotogrande durante los próximos años. • La temporada alta de polo en Sotogrande ya cuenta con un calendario preliminar que aglutina más de 12 competiciones de máximo nivel (entre 6 y 20 goles de HCP), entre los mese de mayo y septiembre.

Ayala Polo Club confirmó un acuerdo con Santa María Polo Club para hacerse cargo de la gestión del Torneo Internacional de Verano en los próximos años, sin duda, una grata noticia que supondrá un nuevo impulso para el Grand Slam de Sotogrande. Con este acuerdo Ayala Polo Club continúa en la estela iniciada el pasado año y que tan extraordinario resultado y acogida tuvo por parte de patrones, jugadores, sponsors y público.Llevará la gestión del Bajo, Mediano y Alto HCP. Además, a finales del pasado curso dieron a conocer públicamente un adelanto del calendario deportivo para la temporada de polo en Sotogrande. Un programa de altísimo nivel que hará las delicias de los amantes y aficionados a este selecto deporte en la urbanización y que elevará aún
más la consolidada y sólida imagen de este destino como uno de los grandes pilares del polo continental europeo. En total, más de 136 días del mejor polo del mundo se vivirán en Sotogrande, con una docena de competiciones de máxima exigencia deportiva, entre los meses de mayo y junio. Estos torneos reunirán a varias de las mejores organizaciones internacionales de polo y algunos de los mejores jugadores del planeta. Mayo Para el despegue e inicio de la temporada están previstos durante el mes de mayo hasta tres competiciones para dar apertura al programa deportivo. Todas ellas se disputarán en fines de semana largos (entre jueves y domingo), con equipos entre 6 y 8 goles de HCP. La Copa de Bienvenida (12-15 de mayo), dará el pistoletazo de salida, seguida de la Copa San Enrique de Guadiaro
(19-21 mayo) y Copa KE Sotogrande, entre el 26 y 29 de mayo. Junio La Copa Joseph McMicking despierta el mes de junio con la presentación de un torneo de doble categoría, con equipos de 6/8 y 12/14 goles de hándicap que se disputará entre el 2 y 12 de junio (nada menos que dos semanas de competición). La Copa de España, con idéntico formato y categoría dual, se celebrará posteriormente entre el 16 y 26 de junio. Julio Con el inicio del mes del verano, por excelencia, el último fin de semana de mayo y el primero de junio arranca con la Copa Memorial Fundador Enrique Zobel, una cita de larga duración (hasta dos semanas), que reunirá dos categorías en la competición (equipos de 6/8 goles y de 12 a 14). Ésta tomará lugar entre el 30 de mayo y el 10 de junio. Sin duda, una
antesala de categoría para el inicio del 51º Torneo Internacional de Polo en Sotogrande que arrancará con su Copa de Bronce el 25 de julio y que presentará más de un mes de altísima competición con equipos de Alto y Mediano HCP (entre 12/14 y 18/20 goles de hándicap, respectivamente). Agosto El desarrollo del 51º Torneo Internacional de Polo Sotogrande y los respectivos trofeos de al Copa de Plata y Oro centrarán toda la actividad del polo durante estas semanas cuya actividad deportiva se alargará hasta el fin de se-
mana del 25/27 de agosto como clausura del evento. De nuevo, contará con la presencia de varias de las mejores organizaciones internacionales de polo y algunos de los mejores jugadores del planeta Septiembre Entre el 1 y 4 de septiembre se celebrará la Copa Memorial Manuel Prado Colón de Carvajal para equipos entre 6 y8 goles de hándicap. Mientras que la Copa Despedida (del 8 al 11 de septiembre), pondrá el punto y final a esta gran temporada de polo en Sotogrnade.

The renowned entity confirms its agreement to manage the Sotogrande Grand Slam for the next few years. The peak polo season in Sotogrande now has a preliminary calendar that brings together more than 12 top-level competitions (between 6 and 20 HCP goals), between May and September.
Lots more polo, more competitions, a higher level and of course, more Sotogrande. Ayala Polo Club confirmed an agreement with Santa María Polo Club to take over the management of the International Summer Tournament in the coming years. This is, without a doubt, welcome news that will give new impetus to the Sotogrande Grand Slam. With this agreement, Ayala Polo Club continues in the wake that began last year and that had such an extraordinary result and reception from bosses, players, sponsors and the public. It will manage the Low, Medium and High HCP. In total, more than 136 days of the world´s best polo will be enjoyed in Sotogrande, with dozen competi-

Aramco Team Series aterriza de nuevo en Sotogrande el próximo agosto • El calendario 2022 del Ladies European Tour adelanta la celebración de una nueva prueba de este prestigioso campeonato en La Reserva Club entre el 18 y 20 de agosto.
Sotogrande se prepara para un nuevo desembarco, por todo lo alto, del Aramco Team Series en La Reserva Club. The 2022 calendar of the Ladies European Tour has announced the celebration of a new event of this prestigious championship at La Reserva Club between 18 and 20 August.
Sotogrande is preparing for a new arrival, in great style, of the Aramco Team Series at La Reserva Club. This incredible tournament with a prize purse of one million Euros is returning to the resort in August, specifically, from 18 to 20, after the major success of the event in its first visit at the start of last August which resulted in the victory of the American player Alison Lee and Team Buahi at the playoff hole. Undoubtedly, extraordinary news for Sotogrande both on a sporting level, as a scenario that is once again a great top-level professional golf event, in this case with the Aramco Team Series and the Ladies European Tour; and on a social and tourism level, as the venue of a great highly-important event in women´s sport. As announced by the calendar of the Ladies European Tour for 2022, Aramco Team Series will once again have 4 qualifying events and La Reserva Club will host the third of them, which was the case at the 2021 edition. The competition gets underway from 17-19 March in Asia although the calendar has still not specified the official venue of the tournament, only its location. The next stop will be in London, at the Centurion Club, from 1618 June. The next stop on the calendar takes Aramco to La Reserva Club de Sotogrande, between 18-20 August, before it ends its regular calendar in New York from 13-15 October. La subida mensual fue del 0,56%, según uno de los últimos informes del portal especializado Pisos, que registró un balance anual del ejercicio. This is the time of tourism in our country thanks to FITUR 2022 and I believe it is an excellent chance to talk about intercultural empathy. The pandemic has contributed to making us get used to communicating remotely with people who live and work in other parts of the world. It isn´t that we didn´t do this before, it is that we now do it more often and view it as normal. Remote negotiations now form part of the new normality, and therefore, the need to refine intercultural communication towards greater empathy is a reality. Not for nothing, intercultural communication is becoming increasingly important as content in postgraduate courses and the training programmes of companies. The fact is that it is not enough to know how to speak English, for true collaboration, in addition to the language it is necessary to share at least some of the same values and empathise with the cultural peculiarities of our speaker. There cannot be true collaboration without understanding certain elements of the culture of the person that we want to do business with, reach an agreement, explain a product or find out their needs and interests. Without this, it may be difficult to establish the necessary trust that was previously obtained during a meal or meeting in person where we could look one another in the eye without a screen between us. Empathising with a culture different to our own means going further than having an idea about issues such as the value that culture places on punctuality, the way of starting a conversation, greeting, expressing thanks or making an offer. Empathising with another culture means identifying the keys that establish closeness in the interactions of the people in it. A tool that is used to point out these keys and create trust between people who belong to different cultures when handling a negotiation, which is the Profile of Motivational Attractors. By filling in a short questionnaire on www.atractoresmotivacionales.com, a simple graphic is obtained that shows what motivates each of the parties involved in the negotiation beyond the obvious and that they express with formalities. It is a way of saving time and generating shared pathways of cultural communication about what is valued and desired. The graphic and its explanation offer information about how important it is for the person or group to establish links, either in terms of security, control or dominance, doing things in the way they deem correct, standing out on a personal level or creating a sense of belonging. And what is essential, the profile of Attractors offers guidelines for empathising with the speaker. Thus, within a few minutes you have information that, with words, that person or people would have taken hours or days to share. The new scenarios demand new tools and, despite the fact that we are not used to beginning a negotiation by answering questions about abstract and varied questions, it will soon seem natural to us if we aim to have productive negotiations and meetings instead of losing time. In order to further examine the applications of this tool, seminars and workshops will soon be organised in Sotogrande, an ideal tourist and cosmopolitan destination for holding training sessions in an unparalleled environment.
Empatía Intercultural Este es el momento del turismo en nuestro país gracias a FITUR 2022 y creo que una excelente ocasión para hablar de empatía intercultural. La pandemia ha contribuido a que nos hayamos acostumbrado a comunicarnos en remoto con personas que viven y trabajan en otras partes del mundo. No es que antes no lo hiciéramos, es que ahora lo hacemos más a menudo y lo tomamos como habitual. Las negociaciones en remoto forman parte ya de la nueva normalidad, y por ello, la necesidad de refinar la comunicación intercultural hacia una mayor empatía es una realidad. No en vano la comunicación intercultural cobra cada vez más importancia como contenido en cursos de postgrado y programas de formación de las empresas. Y es que ya no es suficiente con saber hablar en inglés, para una auténtica colaboración, además del idioma es necesario compartir al menos algunos mismos valores y empatizar con las peculiaridades culturales de nuestro interlocutor. No puede haber auténtica colaboración sin comprender ciertos elementos de la cultura de la persona con la que queremos cerrar un negocio, llegar a un acuerdo, explicarle un servicio o producto o conocer sus necesidades e intereses. Sin esto difícilmente podremos establecer la necesaria confianza que antes se lograba durante una comida o una reunión presencial en que podíamos mirarnos a los ojos sin una pantalla de por medio. Empatizar con una cultura diferente a la nuestra significa ir más allá de tener una idea sobre cuestiones como el valor que le da esa cultura a la puntualidad, la manera de iniciar una conversación, saludarse, agradecer o hacer un ofrecimiento. Empatizar con otra cultura significa identificar las claves que establecen la cercanía en el trato entre las per-
sonas de esta. El centro de
tecnificación en golf de La Cañada, en marcha • El objetivo es que en verano de 2023 estén operativas unas instalaciones únicas en Andalucía que convertirán a San Roque en lugar de referencia en toda España para la formación de jugadores de élite y profesionales de actividades del mundo del golf. El Ayuntamiento de San Roque y Real Federación Andaluza de Golf (RFAG) suscribieron un convenio para la financiación del Centro Especializado de Tecnificación Deportiva (CETD) en las instalaciones del campo municipal La Cañada. El objetivo es que en verano de 2023 estén operativas unas instalaciones únicas en Andalucía que convertirán a San Roque en lugar de referencia en toda España para la formación de jugadores de élite y profesionales de actividades del mundo del golf. El alcalde, Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix, ha suscrito este convenio junto al presidente de la RFAG, Pablo Mansilla, y el presidente del Club de Golf La Cañada, Ángel Gutiérrez. En el acto de la firma también participaron el teniente de alcalde delegado de Deportes, Ángel Gavino, el presidente de la Real Federación Española de Golf (RFEG), Gonzaga Escauriaza, y la secretaria general del Ayuntamiento, Ana Núñez de Cossío.
De manera resumida, la obra saldrá a licitación por un importe de 300.000 euros, la mitad de los cuales será una aportación del Ayuntamiento con fondos procedentes del convenio urbanístico firmado en abril de 2007 con Sotogrande SA. Los otros 150.000 euros llegarán de la RFAG aunque, si el precio de licitación final es inferior al fijado inicialmente, la cantidad sobrante se destinará a la adquisición de equipamiento. En caso de ser necesario, el Consistorio se compromete a financiar la compra del material necesario hasta un máximo de 80.000 euros, tal y como se aprobó en el Pleno Ordinario del pasado mes de noviembre. La conservación y mantenimiento del centro, una vez recepcionado, serán a cargo del Club de Golf La Cañada, que también tendrá que financiar equipamiento en caso de que se exceda el precio con las cantidades consignadas por Ayuntamiento y federación andaluza. La RFAG tendrá a su disposi-
ción las instalaciones para realizar concentraciones de sus equipos, de mutuo acuerdo con La Cañada y en función del calendario anual de actividades. En noviembre de 2018 se presentó el proyecto del Centro de Tecnificación del Club de Golf La Cañada, del que en España sólo existe otro similar en Madrid. El objetivo esencial de estas instalaciones será trabajar con alumnos desde los 12 años para conseguir golfistas de elite preparados para la alta competición, así como personas capacitadas académicamente para trabajar en el ámbito del golf. El centro de pruebas dispondrá de tecnología de vanguardia en su campo, y además se contará con un equipo humano importante.
Este centro de perfeccionamiento tendrá una superficie de 320 metros cuadrados. El edificio se emplazará en la parte oeste de la calle de prácticas existente, próximo a la escuela de golf actual, que será demolida. El objetivo de las instalaciones es proporcionar unos espacios adecuados para las diferentes actividades que necesitan este tipo de centros, todos ellos bajo una cubierta unitaria que se va adaptando a los diferentes requerimientos de altura que son necesarios. Así, la altura de la mayoría de las salas será de 3,20 metros, pero irá creciendo a medida que se adentre a la
sala de análisis de swing para proporcionar mayor altura a la zona de lanzamiento, llegando a los cuatro metros. Constará de un acceso principal con vestíbulo y recepción desde el que se accede a la zona de oficina, a un aula, a la zona de análisis de golpes y a un distribuidor para acceder a los aseos. También tendrá otras salas como almacén, archivo, un pequeño taller y una sala multiuso. Todo ello rodeado por un acerado perimetral, y exteriormente se ha diseñado una pérgola que enmarca toda la edificación en el frente que da directamente al campo de prácticas.

The center of technification in golf at La Cañada on the move • The aim is that, by summer 2023, unique facilities will be operational in Andalusia that will turn San Roque into a benchmark place in all of Spain for training elite players and professionals for activities in the world of golf. The Council and Royal Andalusian Golf Federation (RFAG) signed an agreement on Tuesday for the funding of the Specialised Sports Training Centre (CETD) at the facilities of La Cañada municipal course. The aim is that, by summer 2023, unique facilities will be operational in Andalusia that will turn San Roque into a benchmark place in all of Spain for training elite players and professionals for activities in the world of golf. The mayor, Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix, signed this agreement alongside the president of the
RFAG, Pablo Mansilla, and the president of La Cañada Golf Club, Ángel Gutiérrez. The signing event also involved the delegate for Sport, Ángel Gavino, the president of the Royal Spanish Golf Federation (RFEG), Gonzaga Escauriaza, and the secretary general of the Council, Ana Núñez de Cossío. The RFAG will have the facilities available for holding the gatherings of its teams, by mutual agreement with La Cañada and according to the annual calendar of activities. In November 2018 the project was presented for the La Cañada Golf Club Training Centre, in Spain there is only one similar centre, in Madrid. The essential aim of these facilities will be to work with pupils from the age of 12 to produce elite golfers prepared for top competition, as well as people who are academically qualified to work in the golf sector. The trial centre will
have cutting-edge technology at its course, and it will also have a significant team of staff. This improvement centre will have a surface area of 320 square metres. The building will sit on the western part of the existing practice fairway, next to the current golf school, which will be demolished. The aim of the facilities is to provide suitable spaces for the different activities that need these types of centres, all under a single roof that adapts to the different height requirements that are necessary. Thus, the height of most of the rooms will be 3.20 metres, but it will gradually increase as you go into the swing analysis room to provide greater height in the hitting zone, reaching four metres. It will involve a main entrance with a lobby and reception providing access to the office area, a classroom, the striking analysis zone and a hall for accessing the toilets. It will also have other rooms such as a store room, a small workshop and a multi-purpose room. All surrounded by a perimeter path, and outside a pergola has been designed that frames the entire building on the front that directly looks onto the practice course.

Las instalaciones del Club de Golf Municipal La Cañada acogen la tradicional fiesta navideña del golf adaptado, con la presencia de más de 170 usuarios. Los asistentes disfrutan de una jornada de golf, premios, regalos y mucho más, todo ello con la colaboración y aportación de la Fundación de La Caixa.
La Navidad y el Golf Adaptado se dan la mano para una celebración por todo lo alto en las instalaciones del Club de Golf Municipal La Cañada. Más de 170 usuarios habituales del golf adaptado, procedentes de todos los rincones del Campo de Gibraltar (a través de las entidades: Asansull, Fegadi y Apadis), disfrutaron de una jornada inolvidable con mucho golf, sorpresas, regalos, juegos y todo ello con la colaboración inestimable y aportación económica de la Fundación de La Caixa, siempre al lado de causas tan necesarias y beneficiosas para la comunidad. Esos fantásticos aficionados al golf que forman el elenco de alumnos en la Escuela de Golf Adaptado pudieron disfrutar un miércoles más de todas las actividades y juegos que monitores y profesores preparan en la calle de prácticas. Además, conforme cada turno (para no aglutinar grupos muy numerosos) iba finalizando de jugar pasaban al hall de la Casa Club para ser recibidos por Papa Noel y recibir una bolsa llena de premios y regalos, también de la mano de la Fundación de La Caixa. Recordar que cada miércoles, más de 160 participantes (en tramos y jornadas rotativas) pertenecientes a tres entidades del Campo de Gibraltar (Fegadi, Apadis y Asansull), reciben clases de golf en la Escuela del Club Municipal

Una enriquecedora e integradora acción social que refleja y aporta todos esos valores del deporte: compañerismo, superación, respecto, ejercicio físico al aire libre, etc. con una vertiente muy positiva para todos estos usuarios y participantes. “Es una de nuestras escuelas más importantes y de la que más orgullo-
sos nos sentimos”, explica Ignacio Sánchez, director general de La Cañada. “Estas asociaciones acuden de manera gratuita, el club se encarga de buscar la financiación y entidades colaboradoras para ofrecer esta iniciativa con participantes de toda el Campo de Gibraltar e incluso algunos llegados desde la Costa del Sol”, de-
talla. “Nuestros profesores están formados para ofrecer ese tipo de clases y cada miércoles hacen disfrutar a todos los participantes. Además organizamos, para darles más motivación y aliciente, al menos dos grandes competiciones al año (Navidad y primavera). Todo lo hacemos en la calle de práctica y nos da mucha alegría tener
esta actividad en el club”, añade. Sin duda, una gran forma para cerrar el curso hasta pasar las fiestas navideñas y todo un lujo ver disfrutar a cada uno de los asistentes al torneo, incluido, a todo el equipo del Club de Golf La Cañada y la delegación representante de la Fundación de La Caixa en el evento.

the list of pupils at the Adapted Golf School were able to enjoy another Wednesday of all the activities and games that supervisors and teachers prepared in the practice fairway. ñada. “These associations come for free, the club looks for the funding and collaborative entities to offer this initiative with participants from all over Campo de Gibraltar and even some from the Costa del Sol” he states. “Our coaches are trained to offer these types of classes and every Wednesday all the participants enjoy them. We also organise at least two big competitions a year (Christmas and spring) to give them more motivation and encouragement. We do everything on the practice range and we are very happy to have this activity at
the club” he adds. Undoubtedly, a great way to end the year before heading into the Christmas holidays and a real luxury to see each of the people attending the tournament, including the entire team of La Cañada Golf Club and the representative delegation of La Caixa Foundation at the event.

The Spanish team has been put into Group A alongside Ireland, Belgium and Australia. The debut of the national side will be next Friday against Ireland, in the morning, and against Belgium, in the afternoon. On Saturday, the side will face the current champions, Australia. The president of San Roque Rugby Club, David Arias, wished the best to the members of the national team in their participation in the World Series Rugby Sevens in Málaga and received a ball signed by all the players as a memento of the time spent by the Spanish Rugby Seven side at the facilities of San Roque Rugby Club.
