El polo llega al desierto El impresionante yermo de Al Una, en Araba Saudí, acoge la primera edición del Desert Polo, un concepto que abre fronteras a ese espectacular deporte M. G. / Redacción El polo crece, de manera internacional, hasta puntos nunca antes soñados. Se disputó el primero torneo oficial de Arabia Saudí en pleno desierto, concretamente en el de Al Una, unpoloa de las grandes joyas naturales de Arabia y patrimonio de la UNESCO. Lo que supone un nuevo concepto en el polo mundial e inspirado en el prestigioso torneo de polo de nieve celebrado en St Moritz, que además contará con algunos de los jugadores y patrocinadores más reconocidos en el mundo del polo. Amr F Zedan, presidente de la Federación de Polo de Arabia Saudita y patrocinador internacional del polo, dijo: “Este torneo es una celebración del viaje transformador que estamos haciendo en Arabia Saudita. “Nuestro objetivo en la promoción de este evento extraordinario es doble. Queremos aprove-

Los circuitos autonómicos Infantil y Juvenil de Golf llegan a La Cañada La temporada va llegando a su fin. El club de golf de La Cañadaalbergó la última prueba regular de los Circuitos Infantil y Juvenil de Andalucía. Merece la pena hacer una mención especial al rendimiento de Ángel Ayora en La Cañada. El golfista de edad cadete venció en su categoría con una tarjeta espectacular de 63 golpes. En su misma categoría, en chicas, la victoria fue para Rebeca Fernández con 79 golpes. Entre los más pequeños, los ganadores fueron Chanya Huaysan y Oliver de Wint, mientras que en Alevín los triunfos fueron para Katrina Bulkovkis y Pablo Fernández y en Infantil triunfaron Almudena Agüera y Alberto Baños.
