Of course, keeping our kids safe and our communities strong is a year-round effort. In this edition, you’ll read about how we’re building safer streets and crosswalks near our schools, preparing our flood infrastructure before the next big storm, expanding crisis response, delivering a transformative new development that will bring parks, jobs, and services, and connecting residents to good-paying careers. Summer is right around the corner, and my three girls are already counting down the days. But as a mom, I know the feeling so many parents share this time of year — how do you fill the summer with safe, enriching fun without breaking the bank? That’s why I’m so proud that Precinct 4 is offering completely free summer programming for kids, from STEAM For Kids camps and drone piloting classes to field trips exploring our beautiful natural spaces.
