About
Joined the staff at Jones Park in 2016 as an education program coordinator.

Became the director at Jones Park in the fall of 2020.
Holds a bachelor’s degree in marine science from Texas A&M University at Galveston.
Enjoys playing tennis, going to the gym, and spending time in the water. Most of all, he loves traveling with his family to discover new places and experiences together.
FUN FACTS
Jason wanted to be a marine biologist since he was a young kid. After college, he became a marine biologist, science educator, and maintenance scuba diver at the Houston Downtown Aquarium.
In 10 years and more than 2,500 hours of diving with sharks, stingrays, eels, and large fish, he was only bitten once.
