CMS Issues Guidance on EVV Requirement for Pre-Payment Validation Requirement, beginning in 2019 for personal care and 2023 for home health, is separate but similar to state VO requirement applicable to organizations with $15 million or more in Medicaid revenues Last week, the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released an Informational Bulletin and frequently asked questions (FAQs) document covering the Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) requirements specified in the 21st Century CURES Act. This initiative is separate and distinct from a similar requirement in New York State for verification organizations (VOs) to use EVV for pre-claim review, applicable to home health aide and personal care aide services by organizations with more than $15 million in Medicaid revenues. New FAQs on Requirement for Provider Enrollment in Medicaid, or Else Face July 1 Termination of Managed Care Contracts The state has posted new Frequently Asked Questions, including some asked by HCA, on the requirement that all providers who contract with managed care plans must enroll in Medicaid and obtain a Medicaid provider number.
