Broad Coalition, Including HCA, Urges NY Delegation to Reject Latest Federal Health Care Proposal Cutting Billions from Medicaid A coalition of 30 New York State health care, labor and consumer advocates, including HCA, has united again to advocate against federal health care legislation, this time targeting a new Obamacare repeal-and-replace measure, known as the Cassidy-Graham bill, which would have disastrous consequences for home care and Medicaid in general. In a letter sent to New York’s Congressional Delegation last week, the coalition referenced an analysis by the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities which found that the measure would cut federal spending to New York State by an astonishing $18.9 billion. Urgent Member Action to Oppose HHGM Payment Cuts In an advocacy alert last week, HCA urged all members to send comments to the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) by close of business today, September 25, urging withdrawal of CMS’s Home Health Groupings Model (HHGM). See HHGM p. 5
