New Minimum Wage Survey for Home Care Providers Imminent Registration process must be completed first; webinar to be held soon As a prelude to an upcoming minimum wage survey for home care providers, the state Department of Health (DOH) is requiring that agencies complete a registration process with the state Office of Pool Administration (OPA) before providers will be able to complete and submit the survey, which will be used to determine minimum wage payments and is a requirement for minimum wage funding apportionments. OPA is developing the new electronic “Home Care Provider Minimum Wage Reconciliation Survey” on behalf of DOH and is assisting with data collection. See SURVEY p. 3

CMS to Begin Targeted Probe and Educate Program in the Fall
The state Public Health and Health Planning Council (PHHCP) is engaging in an intensive retreat this week focusing on areas of prevention, reform and postacute care, home care specifically.
The U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has issued its plans for medical review after the completion of the second round of the “Probe-and-Educate” initiative.
