More Engagement with Congress for Home Care Month, Including Special Visit with Rep. Tom Reed in Ithaca HCA continues to work with members to engage elected officials in recognition of National Home Care Month in November. As we reported last week, we’ve been posting infographics from Members of Congress with quotes about the importance of home care as part of a digital campaign for National Home Care Month, and we encourage all HCA members to log on to Facebook to “like” and “share” these infographics. DOH Releases Guidance on Financial Support to Address New Overtime Costs Late Monday, the state Department of Health (DOH) released a Dear Colleague Letter that describes efforts the state will take to modify Medicaid reimbursement rates in order to address new overtime, travel and live-in rules that result from implementation of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) rule.
