Associations Unite Around Minimum Wage Funding Implementation Guidelines Next step is vetting by plans and all-out effort to ensure funding adequacy As extensively reported in previous editions of ASAP and alerts, HCA has been working tenaciously since late last fall to assess the cost impact on the home care sector of the first-proposed, now-enacted, minimum wage increase, and then advocated doggedly for funding to providers that will cover the associated costs of compliance. Once it was determined that there would be some money allocated to compensate providers for the wage increase, HCA began pressing for adequate, timely, and a transparent distribution of funds. HCA Submits Comments on HHPPS Rule HCA this week submitted extensive comments on the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ (CMS) proposed rule for the 2017 Home Health Prospective Payment System (HHPPS). Our comments addressed various components of the rule, such as: 
