HCA Conference Begins Wednesday: Some Logistical Details and a Last Call to Register! The HCA Annual Conference is next week, and we hope that you are as excited as we are about coming to Saratoga Springs to Vote Home Care! On Wednesday, May 4, HCA’s welcome and registration desk will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you are already registered, our staff is ready to provide you with your conference tote containing your program book, your name badge and other informational items. If you haven’t yet registered for the conference, time is running short. You can still register for the full conference or, if it’s better for your schedule, you can register for any one day through our conference website at www.hcaannualconference.com. HCA in Post-Budget Meetings As the state Legislature prepares to return to session next week, HCA began advance discussions with key offices and staff on opportunities to continue pursuit of home care priority areas and concerns post-budget.

HCA to Press DOH on FLSA Funding Issues in Upcoming Meeting HCA is meeting on May 9 with the state Department of Health (DOH) to press member concerns about the distribution of funding to help home care providers with their new costs under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) rule that took effect October 13, 2015.
