More Details Assessed on Budget Outcome for Home Care Learn more about minimum wage funding, home care-managed care rate language, and infrastructure dollars in HCA memo, Monday conference call In last week’s ASAP we provided you with an immediate but still-inconclusive update on the state budget (finalized on April 1). This week we have much more information from our analysis of the budget language and meetings with state officials on key components affecting home care. To start, our most complete analysis of the budget is contained in a memo that HCA sent to members earlier today. It can be downloaded at http://hca-nys.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/StateBudgetOutcome040816.pdf. Rather than duplicate the information in this memo, which we encourage all members to view, we are providing some highlights from our analysis and briefings with state officials, much of which has been reported to you in e-mail alerts on Wednesday and in this morning’s memo. We also remind you that HCA is holding a membersonly budget conference call on Monday, April 11 at 3 p.m. Please register for this important call and read our memo in advance so that you can compile any questions you may have for the HCA team during the call. To register, simply complete the online form at https:// www.surveymonkey.com/r/2016BudgetOutcome.
