The Importance of Blower Door Testing

Performing a blower door test on a newly constructed project can be a crucial part of the construction process. This test determines the amount of a building envelope’s air leakage, and amount of air exchanges per hour. While not yet mandatory in all Louisiana parishes, calculating air exchange is extremely important as it factors into a building’s energy efficiency, moisture control, and healthy indoor air quality.
