Kitchen Remodel This 1990’s kitchen was dated and dark.

You know the drill: cathedral raised panel oak cabinets, sheet vinyl flooring, burgundy and gold paint, fluorescent lighting, a desk area that took up space and soffits that served no purpose.

While this floor plan didn’t change much, the details did. The soffits were removed and cabinets were taken to the ceiling so the kitchen not only has more storage but the ceiling even seems higher. The colors and materials were selected to work with both the new white and gray colors but also the existing oak trim. New, updated vinyl tile flooring brings us into the 2020’s. Add in white cabinets, marbled counters and two different backsplashes and we have a beautiful and functional updated kitchen.

Addition, Kitchen and Master Bath Remodel Parameters of Addition and Remodeled Spaces: Active family desired larger kitchen and dining space, remodel primary bath and add lower-level bedroom. Changed fireplaces to gas direct-vent with natural stone.

• This addition and remodeling project changes a normal U-shaped kitchen and dining room into a large modern farmhouse kitchen with multiple work spaces, beautiful granite countertops and white cabinetry.

For an accent, we built a natural wood island complete with a sink and countertop seating. The custom cooktop hood serves as the kitchen’s focal point.

• Beautiful enlarged and remodeled primary bathroom and gorgeous large porcelain tile shower with streaming natural light from above.

• Covered outdoor entertainment area complete with table-top firepit, ceiling mounted patio heater and outdoor tv.

We would like to thank all the suppliers and subcontractors for their high-quality materials and workmanship.

Most of all we thank the owners for allowing us to work with them on this fun project, living through it all with small children and for agreeing to have their home open.

Kitchen Remodel These empty-nesters decided it was time their 1984 ranch home receive the Willet Construction TLC treatment. Redesigning the kitchen and custom built-in was a team approach, as we wanted the kitchen to function not only for our clients, but for their son who intends to reside in the home in the future. By eliminating soffits and a narrow pantry closet, we gained back storage space where the soffits were as well as provided much needed countertop space to the right of the range.

The fun didn’t stop there, as we included a custom free-standing hutch cabinet in the dining room and new flooring throughout the main living areas.

Main Floor Remodel Creative Design Solutions for your Home With new owners, this house needed a makeover. The existing layout was too formal and lacked flow for this family, and with both formal and informal dining areas, there was a lot of unused space. The kitchen was small and poorly laid out with very limited storage.

By removing a wall, the formal dining room and kitchen were combined, and the kitchen was relocated into the previous dining space. This allowed for a spacious island with seating and a bonus window seat with storage space. A wrap around Wet Bar was added into the previous dinette space with tile flooring giving it easy access to the backyard entertaining area and pool. During the remodel, many doorways and angled areas were removed to give this home’s layout a more open and updated feel!

Main Floor Remodel Creative Design Solutions for your Home “The honey oak needs to go!”

The goal of this remodel was to achieve an updated look and create a more open living space with better flow through the kitchen, living room and dining areas. To make this happen, the wall between the living room and kitchen was removed creating one cohesive space. A more open kitchen space allowed for an island with seating and additional storage along the back. Relocating the sink to the island allowed for more countertop space for food prep and baking along the back wall.

A closet was removed behind the stairway to the basement allowing for pantry storage and a small drop zone area for mail.  Wall cabinetry to the ceiling gave more storage and created visual height making the space appear larger.

Cabinet accessories for cookie sheets, utensils and trash/recycling were added.
