Things move quickly in housing. Builders on the Parade of Homes submit their homes months before the start of the Parade. Whether it be due to weather, labor shortages, a quick home closing or something more obscure, not all listed Parade homes will be finished and/or open during the Parade. Please respect the privacy of any owneroccupied Parade homes and call the builder directly with any questions. If a home included in the printed guide is not found within the app or online, it is now owner occupied and off the Parade.

What can I do to ensure a great Parade experience?

•Download the app (search “KC Parade of Homes” in the Apple or Google Play store) and/or go to kc.paradeofhomes.io and use the “Fall Parade Homes Search” function to access an online listing and map of all fall 2025 Parade homes.

•Be aware not all major navigation apps are updated to recognize new construction. It is recommended to use the Parade app navigation tool and/or written directions for each home to ensure a smoother navigation experience.

•If a home is locked and is not designated as closed or sold within the app/online, directly call the builder number listed to gain access to the home.

Are all Parade homes finished?

No. While the majority of Parade homes are finished, it is not required and entries can be designated as finished, trim, foundation or framing stage. Check the app or kc.paradeofhomes.io to see the most up to date information.

There are some advantages to viewing a partially finished home. As an interested buyer, a home that is at the trim stage allows you to check the quality of work and craftsmanship of the builder and the home.

A Parade home is marked as sold. Is it still open to view?

Possibly. If a home is sold but NOT marked as “not open – contact builder”, the owner is likely taking possession after the Parade and the home might remain open for the public to view. When in doubt, call the builder number listed before heading over.

How can I plan my route?

Save your favorite homes online and in the app. Additional benefits of the app/online include seeing the contest winners (announced the first Thursday of the Parade), filtered search (go by builder, price, number of beds/baths, amenities, home type, communities and more) and additional interior home photos. n
