This year’s awards celebration featured the Hammer Out Hunger silent auction to raise funds for Harvesters. With items ranging from a trip to Italy to Billy Joel tickets to wine tastings, bidders raised over $20,000 in support of the HBA’s efforts to feed hungry children. Jerry Ratway spearheaded the campaign, which was led by three team captains— Jerry Braklow, Shawn Woods and Gary Kerns.
Special thanks go to Misty Hanson and Stewart Title for sponsorship of the Parade. Jennifer Bertrand announced the winners and shared design tips.
The awards celebration ended on a stormy note when tornado sirens sounded – prompting a choice between leaving the party immediately or spending quality time in the basement of Unity Village.
