Bringing the wider Hazlegrove community up to date with recent events...
The Spring term saw the return of our annual Festival week and this year it was the YUM! Festival which celebrated all aspects of food. The pupils had the opportunity to take part in a wide range of workshops, visits and activities including a cake competition, talks from Thomasina Miers, Carymoor Environmental Centre, a Waitrose workshop, focaccia art, demonstrations with Chef, Nicole Pisani, crunchy critters tasting, St Patrick’s Day themed lunch and much more. We hope that our pupils enjoyed the YUM! Festival and have developed a greater passion for food.
Spring 2022
The boarding community have had a lot of fun this term from trips to‘We The Curious’ Science Museum in Bristol, Splashdown in Poole and Airhop in Bristol. The traditional Easter Feast was held where the children showed off amazing bonnets as well as the exciting Burn’s Night Supper. Our boarders have enjoyed a birds of prey visit, Great British Bake-Off challenge, Slime Laboratory and celebrated the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Year 6s performance of My Son Pinocchio Jr was one to remember with outstanding enthusiasm and energy from every child. The audience enjoyed the costumes, singing, dancing and acting on stage.

been enjoyed this term including the Friday Concerts, Boarders’ Concerts and Festival Concerts.
The Speech and Drama evening impressed us all. The The Lower School delighted us with Dragon Days Luckily for the Lower School, the Stumbledorf dragon didn’t turn out to be the terrifying monster the villagers of Stumbledorf had all imagined!

Daisy A has had a superb term representing Somerset in the
ESAA National Cross Country Finals and finishing 4th at the National Schools Biathlon Championships. She was also crowned Somerset County Cross Country Champion in both the Junior and Senior Championships this term.

NSEA Eventers Challenge and qualifies for the National Finals at Hickstead in May.
