Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 completed eight weeks of Remote Learning
Lockdown 3.0 saw the country locked down and School taking place from home. Nursery completed the term at School and were so excited when their Pre-Prep friends returned to the classroom on Monday 8 March. A huge well done to all for the effort and enthusiasm shown throughout this unusual term.
Spring 2021
Nursery have been looking at a different fairytale each week whilst being at School all term. By looking at stories such as Jack and the Beanstalk and Little Red Riding Hood, Nursery have practiced problem solving, writing, counting and so much more.
Reception learnt about different environments around the world both in School and at home whilst Remote Learning. The rainforest, ocean, desert and the Arctic were all explored including the weather, animals, sounds and sights. Well done for working so hard Reception.
Year 1 have been busy learning all about Space this term
During Remote Learning, Year 1 designed their own ‘eggstronaut’ experiment to successfully drop an egg from a significant height. Year 1 have been giving their all with their school work this term.
Year 2 have been looking at India as their Spring term topic
Lots of work discovering the culture of India has taken place with a focus on tigers and elephants. Back at School, Year 2 have been enjoying time in the woods and creating their own dyed t-shirts.

World Book Day 2021
Life is always busy in the Pre-Prep, whether we are in the classroom, out in the grounds or on trips. You can keep up-to-date with our news on the website and in the weekly newsletter.
On the last day of term, the Pre-Prep decorated eggs in the classroom for Mr White to judge in the eggstravaganza competition. Nursery took part in an epic egg hunt around the Hazlegrove grounds. Happy Easter!
World Book Day was celebrated a little later this year to make sure that the Pre-Prep could be back together at School. The children went on a story trail through the woods meeting famous characters along the way who each read them a story.
Dorothy, a Black Welsh Mountain, and Snowdrop, a Bluefaced Leicester, visited the Pre-Prep with Elise’s mummy. The children loved watching them leap and hearing them bleat.
