JUNE 27 - AUGUST 4, 2022 HIGH SCHOOL MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY - 8-11 AM & 12-3 PM
MATH BOOT CAMP Designed to prepare students for the math course they will be taking during the 2022-2023 school year. We will also offer a camp for students needing and/or wanting to build their Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Pre-Calculus math skills. The sessions will be spent reviewing prerequisite knowledge and introducing new concepts that will be taught during the upcoming school year. Class sizes are small (around 10 students), so students receive lots of individual attention and continuous feedback. Students that successfully complete this course will receive a .5 elective credit.
ELECTIVE COURSES An elective course in Art or a Career Tech Educational Experience. Students that successfully complete this course will earn a .5 elective credit.
TALENT SEARCH Offering college and career readiness activities for Hazel Park High School students throughout the summer.
HPHS CREDIT RECOVERY The HPHS Credit Recovery Summer School Program will consist of offering Credit Recovery courses via our Edgenuity Platform. This program will allow students to earn credit in high school courses for the purpose of remediation or acceleration.

The HPHS Bridge Summer School Program will consist of a summer school program for incoming 9th graders students that need additional assistance with their Math and/or English skills. The Bridge Summer School Program will be held the same six weeks as all of the High School Summer school programming. Students that successfully complete this course will receive a .5 elective credit.

This incoming 8th grader summer learning experience will consist of core content sessions and hands-on activities such as photography and gardening. Students will experience two core content classes and a handson activity during the summer sessions. The hands-on activities will change every 2-weeks. The hands-on activities and experiences that will complement our core content.
This incoming 7th grader summer learning experience will consist of providing core content sessions and hands-on activities. Students will experience two core content classes and a hands-on activity during the summer sessions.
WELCOME TO 6TH GRADE BOOTCAMP This camp will consist of a 1-week learning opportunity for incoming 6th graders that will welcome them into Junior High School. Students will engage in core content learning experiences and other activities that will prepare students for their first day of Junior High School.

KINDERGARTEN - GRADE 5 MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY 6 WEEKS / 3 HOURS A DAY AT UNITED OAKS ELEMENTARY Morning sessions will focus on math and reading. During the afternoon sessions, students will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of non-academic experiences including -STEM Fine Arts Sports In addition to the K-5 in-person summer experience, we will offer a teacher-supported remote learning experience that utilizes i-Ready Personalized Instruction. Students will have the opportunity to sign up for afternoon or evening FEE-BASED YMCA sessions to be held at United Oaks Elementary. You can only attend these sessions if you sign up, payment is received and accepted through the YMCA since class size is limited.

Periodic pop-up literacy events will take place throughout the summer to further engage students and families.

JULY 11 - AUGUST 4, 2022 EARLY CHILDHOOD MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY 4 WEEKS / 3-HOUR MORNING SESSIONS A four-week summer experience will be offered to students who attended Webster Early Childhood Center during the 2021-2022 school year and will be entering Kindergarten in the Fall of 2022. The Webster summer experience is designed to build strong literacy and numeracy skills while engaging in immersive STEM and play-based learning. A focus on Kindergarten readiness skills will be a key component of the Early Childhood Summer Program.
