“103 Years Old” Rev. Beatrice Lamonte Shares Inspiring Stories From Her Past
By Hazel K. Palmer and Colette Wilbrink For Jubilee News (Charleroi, PA) “Throughout my life, I had instances where I knew that it was no one else but God who saved my life.” Brad Diess from Charleroi, Pa said. “Three days before my 18th birthday, I was a passenger in a car that rolled. We were doing over 100 mph and we went over an embankment. It went on to its roof and hit a tree and I climbed out of the car with a sprained ankle.” Brad Diess ended up becoming a volunteer firefighter for ten years with the Charleroi VFD and he also worked in the coal mine. Medagascar Memories Captured in a Photo
Allison Sandridge, Brad’s Step Sister From Biloxi, MS, Came to Support Her Brother Before His Surgery. In 2004 at the age of 28, he was in a second accident--a head-on collision. Brad shared, “I was sent to Providence, Rhode Island for an inspection [of a coal mine] and was hit head-on on Interstate 95 in Connecticut. A guy was drunk and high and going the wrong way. He was going 75 mph and I was going 65 mph. I never had a chance to put on my brakes and I kicked the door open and walked away with only muscle problems. One man said to me: ‘How did you walk away from that? It was like hitting a wall at 130 mph.’ “Both cars were disintegrated, and the highway was shut down for approximately six hours to clean it up. I had pain going from my shoulder, down my arm and down my leg, and the doctor at the hospital gave me a prescription for Ibuprofen and sent me on my way.” Brad ended up finishing up his one week of work after a second brief hospital stay in a trauma unit; drove back to Charleroi and was off for six months due to physical therapy; still a small price to pay for a head-on collision. But it was his third experience that sealed the deal for him and today, it is as fresh in his mind as though it happened yesterday. “I had a migraine that wouldn’t go away and I had it for over two months solid, literally morning and night. I took aspirin and I was taking 4500 mg of aspirin a day. It did not
even remotely touch the headache. Getting excited or upset made it even hurt worse like a stab by a knife in the neck. I thought maybe I need to go see a chiropractor! But I decided to go to Med Express.” “They (Med Express) ran some normal tests and they told me to go see this neurologist. I went to see the neurologist and he ran tests and told me I just needed to go to physical therapy; I needed a nerve block.” Brad relayed. Brad felt the neurologist was treating symptoms of a greater problem and decided to make an appointment with his family doctor. “I didn’t want a bandaid. I wanted to know what the problem was, so, I made an appointment with my doctor for the beginning of December.” Brad emphasized. Meanwhile, Brad endured the excruciating headaches 24/7 until one Sunday morning in mid-November when everything changed. Brad shared what happened: “I go to church almost every Sunday and I went up for prayer. When I was done [getting prayer], I walked back to my seat, and we were singing as I stood with my mom. She said, “Are you okay?” I looked at her and said, “I don’t have a headache at all! It is gone! One hundred percent gone!” And it didn’t return whatsoever! Not once; not even a small headache or a bearable one. It was unbelievable!”
Brad felt an extra warm hand on his shoulder during prayer which he believes was the Hand of God. This miracle left a lasting impression on him because of the intense head pain he suffered for over a month and a half was suddenly halted during prayer on a Sunday morning! Brad’s appointment for his doctor was already made and several MRI’s later, his doctor called him with the results. It was incomprehensible to Brad that he would be told over the phone that he had a “brain tumor”. “’No, no, no! I think you’re looking at the wrong test!’” Brad said. “It took me a couple hours before I told my girlfriend or anyone because I was trying to let it sink in.” Finally, when Brad shared the news, he broke down in tears. Family and friends shared with him about different specialists he could go see and it seemed that one name kept coming up, and he decided to go with that doctor. “The doctor said I had a cyst called an “epidermal cyst”. That’s the type of cyst that women get on their ovaries and it’s 100% uncommon in men and rare for a brain cyst. They took the measurements and it was the size of a baseball. “I said, ‘Okay, so what are my options? Do I have to go through chemo and radiation?’ He said, ‘No, it’s be-
attack any part of the brain or spinal cord, nervous system impairment varies from person to person. Wendy had 8 lesions throughout her brain, with the worst one being on her brain stem, the command center of her entire body. Therefore, she was experiencing severe neurological impairment across the board. She recalled, “I couldn’t do more than lay in bed in a fetal position while I had severe tremors and spasms.”
Wendy remained in the hospital for 30 more days as doctors developed a treatment plan for her. There is no known cure for MS, but inflammation can usually be reduced with steroid drugs. Although the medications cannot fix the problem, they can alleviate some of the stress on the nervous system and MS patients taking steroids have subtle improvements in neurological function. Meanwhile, as Wendy was confined to her hos-
pital bed, her husband began to relive some of the trials of his own life. He had grown up with a mother who was severely crippled by arthritis and had watched his own father struggle to care for her. Wendy’s husband was fearful of repeating history and in turn, he filed for divorce even before Wendy was discharged from the hospital. With the help of the steroid medications,

On my trip, I was at the Orpheum Theater in San Francisco at an amazing production of “Hamilton”. We had the usual intermission, but due to the wheelchair, I was told the only ‘accessible” (handicap) bathroom was on the basement floor. Life in a wheelchair can be quite frustrating, and my son Chandler had to push me through the crowd to the other side of the building to get to the elevator to go down to the restrooms. I couldn’t just get up during the show and go to the restroom when I wanted. I had to wait for the break due to the wheelchair, and I really had to go to the restroom, as did Chandler. The elevator attendant saw us coming from afar and witnessed the many people who stepped in front of us, sometimes causing Chandler to jerk me to

Jubilee News Page 3A MS from 2a Wendy was finally able to leave the hospital. She continued to suffer numbness and limited mobility, but it was not as severe as when she was at Presby. Wendy could not easily feed herself, do laundry, or any of the other basic routines of life. As her divorce quickly finalized, the only person who could offer her assistance on a regular basis was her nineyear-old son, Lenny. Wendy lamented, “The poor boy had to take care of me for close to eleven years of his life. I was in and out of wheelchairs, hospitals, and rehabilitation centers the whole time. He washed clothes. He fed me cereal every night because at that age he couldn’t really prepare meals. He cleaned the house. He did everything that a nine-yearold boy could possibly do in that situation.” Although Wendy was not completely paralyzed or unable to walk as the doctors expected, she spent all of those years with such limited mobility, in and out of wheelchairs, that her muscles atrophied. This made it even more difficult to get around. For eleven years, MS dictated Wendy’s life. Since her initial attack, Wendy was unable to return to work or any recreation, for that matter. In the past Wendy had enjoyed adventurous activities such as skydiving and motorcycling, but such things were unthinkable in her condition. In spite of all this, she attended church whenever she could. She even volunteered secretarial services at times. Little did she know, these brief moments of interaction with her church family would open up a new world. Wendy HELPERS from 2a or knock me over. Once at the basement floor, there were many people in line for the restroom. The line was long and wrapped around a corner and went up the stairs. There was no way I could do that and go to the end of the line. My heart sank. There was a lady who was in line who overheard me tell Chandler: “I will wait at that corner and fall in behind the person at the end of the line.” She stepped back and said: “No, please, get in line ahead of me.” But Chandler made no attempt to push me ahead, so I wasn’t sure if I even heard her correctly. But as the line moved forward, she got behind my wheelchair and said to Chandler: “I’ve got your mom. You go if you have to.” He would have had to have waited for me or made me wait for him while he went to the restroom. I thought this was just a normal lady being kind, until she began to know and do things far and above what a normal person would do. For one thing, she sent another lady to go ahead and hold the only larger accessible stall for me, and this is something few people understand since so many tend to use the accessible stall and then mess it up that the “less-than-able” people who end up being the ones who have to clean up their mess to use it; something that makes
described her relationship with God saying, “At the time, I was definitely a Born-again Christian, but God was more in my head than in my heart.” One day, the pastor of her church, South Hills Assembly, showed her a brochure depicting a safari-type mission trip that he was planning. Wendy remarked, “When I saw that brochure full of pictures of lions and tigers and bears, I said to myself, ‘Before I die, I want to do that. I want to get out of this wheelchair and go on that safari.’ Somehow, it ended up that I was able to actually go on that safari!” As though her symptoms were held at bay for this trip, Wendy was strong enough that she didn’t need to take her wheelchair. The mission trip was based through Marilyn Hickey Ministries and took place in April of 1997. “I thought I was going on a safari of sorts,” Wendy recollected, “but it was actually a healing crusade. Now, I didn’t know what a healing crusade was at the time. I had actually never even heard of such a thing!” Nevertheless, Wendy found herself in a field in Madagascar in the presence of 20,000 African people who had gathered together to be healed through prayer to God. She detailed her experience saying, “I was one of 250 members of Marilyn Hickey’s team. We were directed to stand in a line in front of all these people who would be coming forward for healing. They spoke Swahili and we didn’t have 250 interpreters, so they would just point to areas of their bodies and we would pray. Before it began, though, I remember that we all
it more difficult. This lady not only held it for me, but she went in and inspected it and cleaned up the wet, slippery floor for me. This NEVER happens! On top of this, she stood outside my stall to my surprise when I came out and wheeled me to the sink. Not everyone knows this, but most sinks are not reachable from a seated position, and I have to be careful not to get my chest wet from the pool of dropped water from others. She wiped the sink in front of me! How could she know? I’m not supposed to stand up and reaching over the sink to wash my hands would have required standing. She also turned the faucet on and grabbed paper towels for me which I barely can ever reach. I usually wipe my wet hands on my pants, and this was service more extraordinary than I had ever had. Only Katie knows. As she was wheeling me back out to the hall, they were calling out: “One minute to showtime.” I thanked her and she looked around and said, “We have to wait for your son. I can’t leave you here.” I assured her it was okay for her to go, but she looked straight in my eyes and I saw a twinkle like I had never seen in a human eye, and she said the strangest thing: “I’m here on a mission to help you.” It was then I began to realize what might be happening. I asked for her
bowed our heads as Marilyn prayed. All I could think was “Dear Lord, I hope nobody stands in front of me for prayer!” (This was all so completely new to me and I really didn’t know what I was doing!) Just as soon as Marilyn said ‘Amen,’ Wendy raised her head and discovered that people were lined up in front of her as far as her eyes could see. Wendy detailed this pivotal moment in her life: “I don’t really even remember the first two people who came up to me but the third was a little boy with a leg that must have been broken several years before. It was obvious that it was never reset and his leg was very deformed. He hobbled forward to me with the help of two friends. I just put my own crippled hands on his leg and said the simplest prayer. It was only eleven words. I just prayed, ‘God, please heal this little boy’s broken leg in Jesus’ Name’ and suddenly, that bone started to go back in place. Well, of course, it freaked me out! I had never experienced anything like this in my paramedic life! My own hands were on fire. Tears were streaming down my face. The little boy let go of his friends’ arms and started running around in circles screaming “Alleluia! Alleluia!” This “miracle” stirred something within her. “At that point, I felt God say that I was healed,” Wendy recalled. “It was not in an audible voice or anything, but just in my heart and spirit.” In the eleven years of her battle with MS, Wendy had never even imagined healing as a possibility. MS was something that she just “accepted” about her life and it was “okay with her.” At
first, she tried to dismiss the feeling, but as soon as she drifted from believing it, the message was repeated in her heart. “The notion that I was healed came to me three times in a row,” Wendy explained, “and the third time, I just accepted it with childlike faith.” Wendy went on to witness many instantaneous miracles that day, but her own healing was not as evident to others around her. She didn’t even share the personal experience she had that day with anyone else because she still “wasn’t sure if she was right.” She knew ‘something’ had happened to her at that crusade but couldn’t put it into words. Undoubtedly though, Wendy left the plains of Madagascar with a new vision for her life. On the way home, Marilyn Hickey encouraged the team with a message of how God would grant them the “desires of their heart.” The reference comes from Psalm 37:4 and is often cited as a source of how God will bring a heart-felt fulfillment to the lives of His children. So, Wendy thought about what the “desires of her heart” would be. She had such a great experience on the trip that she wrote down, “I want to be a missionary in third world countries.” She didn’t think much about it after that. Upon coming home, Wendy still had difficulty getting around, but she soon noticed that she felt stronger and stronger every day. Little by little, her own healing was being realized. Within six months, she regained muscle tone and full motor function. She was never treated for MS beyond

I know normally I write about health and fitness and its similarity to our walk with Christ, but since I am also a business owner, I wanted to write about entrepreneurism. And right now in life this is what was really resonating with me and I was drawn to write about it. So, I hope you can find some benefit from this today. I was reading my Bible the other day and a verse I read really hit home for me because of what I am currently dealing with in life. Proverbs 19:21 “Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.” Wow! When I read that, I chuckled because of how true it is for me right now. I had huge plans for my business; plans to only work for myself, and I thought the framework I had developed for my life was going to work out how I wanted. Well, of course it is not going how I planned, because it rarely does. I am starting a fulltime job working for a close friend and his family while growing my business in a new market. I never thought I would work full-time for someone else again. My dad pointed out God’s providence to me in this situation. I met my best friend over 10 years ago, and God knew that someday I would work for his family. He knew his family would help me tremendously with their grace and generosity in giving me a position in their business, as well as helping me build my business. God had that all planned out for me in eternity past. How amazing! I never knew that. I never thought that. But sometimes we are able to take a step back and see God’s sovereign hand in our lives. It is truly spectacular. I personally have found that my plans are rarely God’s plans, so honestly, I do not know why I keep thinking my plans are so concrete. Now, this is not to say we shouldn’t develop plans for our life. I think it would be foolish to

simply coast through life without trying to be purposeful and deliberate in our actions. But we need to understand God will do what is best for us. When something doesn’t go how we planned, we cannot control that, but we can control our reactions. We could be upset that we didn’t get a job we wanted, or our business wasn’t growing as fast as we hoped, or we didn’t get the house we put an offer in on. But why be upset? If those things didn’t work out, it is because God didn’t want them too. Something else will happen for us that is better. In our mind it may not be better, but it is. We are the clay so who are we to question the potter? On the other end of the spectrum, we do not want to be the person who just sits around waiting for stuff to happen. I believe we should take action and take risks. We do not want to be the guy stranded on the rooftop in the flood waiting for God to save Him. In this example, a rowboat, motorboat, and helicopter come by offering the man help. But each time he said: “No, God is going to save me, I have faith.” He eventually drowns, gets to heaven, and asks God why He didn’t save him. God says how He sent three different forms of help, so what else did the man want? This can be a silly example, but I think we can learn something from it. We have these plans for our life and wonder why they aren’t working out like we want. God may send something or someone along to help us, but we ignore it because it wasn’t according to our plan. My point is, we need to be discerning and attentive to God’s hand in our life, so we don’t miss the lifelines He is offering us. Regardless, we cannot screw up God’s will for our life, so do not be dismayed! I think all we can do is remember Christ’s love and His unfathomable sacrifice for us. I think we need to continually dwell on that, read God’s word to be reminded of that, and pray asking for a passion for Christ, and to never forget His sacrifice. So, when life does not go as we hope, we won’t react in a negative manner. We will not allow it to affect our joy and hope. We will remember our loving Creator and accept His will for us.

This adventurous woman has even returned from each location with a special keepsake—a picture of herself riding a motorcycle in that country! At first glance, it would have seemed that Wendy was stripped of all of the things that she loved to do when she was diagnosed with MS. Yet, in time, the disease became an avenue for greater things. Being confined drove her passionately toward a simple goal of a single mission trip to Madagascar. Then, that healing crusade for others became the source of her own healing. It also was a time where she identified the “desires of her heart.” All in all, Wendy was not just healed, she actually became free to do all the things that she ever wanted to do in

There’s an obscure verse found in the Old Testament that is smack dab in the middle of the religious era painted by the letter of the Law-- sin, judgment & death rather than the New Testament’s grace, forgiveness and life through Jesus. And there are Christians who mistakenly quote that verse when they are NOT healed after prayer. “At least there is hope for a tree even if it is cut down, it will sprout again & its new shoots will not fail. Even though its roots may grow old in the ground, & its stump die in the soil, yet AT THE SCENT OF WATER it will bud and put forth shoots like a plant”. (Job 14:7) Many of us are hamstrung by our religious misunderstanding with Job. Instead of aligning with the 100+ healing promises God has given us in the New Testament, some would choose to camp out there in the Old Testament. If we stay there, then we also need to start killing sheep to pay for our sins. Religion builds pretty cages. Let’s get out of there. It’s time to fly. Job asks the question, but Jesus is the answer, so we must pick up where Job left off & run our race from there. If Jesus intended for us to stay sick and learn a lesson, He would not have let Himself be beaten across the back, nor would He have died on the cross to pay for your healing as well as our sins. (“…by From HELPERS PG 3a gone! Gone! On the elevator, I told Chandler about this lady who helped me and what she had done for me, and how I wanted to introduce her to him, and she was suddenly gone. Throughout the second half of the show, I was thinking about it off and on. I thought it was interesting how she told me one name, and then another. Later that night after the show, I looked up the name “Talitha”, and it was the name used when Jesus raised the little girl and he spoke: “Talitha, come forth.” I’ve never known anyone else who had a name like this. At the end of the show, I looked for that lady to thank her again for what she did for me. We had to go the entire span of the building and back again to get picked up
His stripes or Scourging, You ARE healed”) Let’s move forward from THERE as we receive THIS truth. One day, a man named Cory came to drop off a dual sport motorcycle for inspection for a mutual friend. I was crazy busy and expected him to unload it from the bed of his truck, but I could see he was moving
“The Healing Chair” slow and struggling, so I went over to help. He talked about his back being in severe pain limiting everything in his life. Sadly, I let the information you just read pass, and I did nothing about it due to my busyness. Later, when his bike was finished and he was coming to get it, I did not want to miss the chance this time. Guess what. I began to smell the scent of fresh water. I wheeled his bike back up into his truck bed, tied it down and then purposely asked what had happened to his back. Here, he had been working up on a roof finishing a job in the drizzling rain which is a no-no. If you have ever seen skilled workers come down ladders - and instead of stepping down, they slide down like a carnival ride gripping the side rails with their hands and feet. That’s what Cory did, but this time his foot got hooked on something and he fell from almost 2 stories and landed flat on his back. He is a BIG dude and as they say: “the bigger they are, the harder they fall”. Twenty years of severe pain limited all the motion and activity in his life. But…”There is HOPE for a tree even if it has been cut down.” Cory’s life had been cut down and it WILL SPROUT AGAIN & its new shoots will NOT FAIL. I told and I never saw her. But, as I was getting in the car and shutting the door, I saw her in the far distance standing at the theater wall. I waved at her to be sure, and she waved back. I instantly told Chandler to look, but he couldn’t see her. Apparently, he never saw her, even when she took over my wheelchair so he could go to the restroom when I did. But even from a distance, I could see that same twinkle in her eye that I can’t explain; kind of like a tear, but like a glistening light that made me feel safe. When the Bible says we may be “entertaining angels unaware”, I wonder if it means they might be entertaining us? Her assistance in my situation blessed and empowered me with hope and an assurance and more.. My takeaway is that angelic activity is not always for danger or reserved for a
him about the MIRACULOUS things God is doing in my body shop office & that Jesus WILL heal him right now. Even though his body was like that dead stump in the ground with “dried-up roots, yet at the SCENT of WATER...” Cory & I could both smell the scent of fresh water that ALWAYS brings life. You could see light reflect off his tears as this kind of HOPE began its restoration process. I sat him down in the healing chair and bound the common spirits of infirmity and trauma that constantly try to piggy-back on old chronic injuries. In about 30 seconds, all his back, neck and shoulder pain completely left his body. Tears were flowing down his cheeks now as he was totally stunned. The look on his face was priceless with his colorful response: “What the ÷#×^ just happened!?” I asked him if anything else hurt. He said, “I have numbness in my feet and legs from diabetic neuropathy, but there’s nothing that can be done about that.” I chuckled as I reminded him of what God had just done for his neck, back and shoulders and how the doctors said that nothing could be done about it. I said, “The same Jesus that healed your chronic back injuries can heal Diabetes & related symptoms too. Let’s pray again.” Then, away it went as he FELT a warmth and tingling heat of healing go through his feet and lower appendages for the first time in years. I’m here to tell you, God’s Word is true. This stuff is REAL! Ask Cory how he knows. His life is “budding & putting forth shoots again”. Let Jesus build your faith here. Do YOU smell the scent of fresh water? There is a dry & thirsty land out there that is dying for His LIVING water whose streams can gush out of you right now as you “heal the sick and tell them my Kingdom is here” just as Jesus said
life-threatening situation, or a special word or message, although I’ve had some. I got to thinking about Mister Rogers and how his mom told him whenever there is difficulty, to look for the helpers. Maybe Mamma Rogers knew of times like mine where someone just showed up on the scene to help at the right time. It may not be like an overly spiritual encounter; it may not even mean anything to anyone else except for the one receiving the help. Some say it was brave of me to go on this trip; that it was a bold move for me To attend this theater production when during it, I was not able to do what I wanted and had to rely on my teenage son or others to help me. “ANGEL S ON A MISSION”
Sent By God For YOU!
Chris Werre I’ve seen angels, and other people in my family have seen angels. Sometimes God shows us
angels, and there’s a reason for that. My son Joel was only four months old, and I was a single
mom. We lived with an Elder from our church in Florida, and his wife. I had just started working. Joel’s crib was at the bottom of my bed, along the wall. I was especially discouraged one night feeling the burden of being a single mom. I can remember crying myself to sleep, saying, “Lord, You said You would be my husband, but I don’t feel it. I would like to know that for sure. I would like to feel Your presence.” During the night, I was awakened by the shuffling of feet. It wasn’t uncommon for my Elder or his wife to come in, pick up Joel if he was fussing, and rock him for me, since I had to get up early for work in the morning. So, I heard the shuffling of footsteps and was awakened. I looked, and there was a man with his back to me. He was playing a guitar by Joel’s crib, but I couldn’t hear the music. I said, “Hey!”, and just like that, he disappeared. The presence of the Lord came into my
room so amazingly, and I hit the deck worshiping God, because that’s what you do when you see an angel! You worship God who sent the angel to you. It was an awesome thing to behold, and when I was strong enough to get back into bed, I put my head on the pillow and a scripture immediately came to me: “The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him…” (Psalm 34:7) Joel’s biological father, who was a gifted musician, would put Joel in his infant seat and play the guitar and sing to him. Only God and I knew about that. How special that an angel was sent by God to comfort my little baby with music and at the same time, I was granted the ability to see the angel and to know that God was saying to me: “I’m here. I am so here with you.” The next morning at breakfast time, I told my Elder what had happened and asked, “Do you think that was See ANGELS Pg. 6a
--Turn-Around-Moments--
“ANGELS” I have done a fair amount of studying about angels. Angels are mentioned over 286 times in the Bible, so there is something very important about them. They are God’s ministers. They are God’s servants to do His pleasure. But By Chris Werre God didn’t need them. Guess who needs them? We do! How kind of God to include this into His creation. He created angels before He made the earth! And He made them FOR us because it says in Hebrews: He made His angels ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation. So, angels are NOT people who have died. Angels aren’t dead people. No matter how good a person you are on earth, you’re not going to become an angel in heaven. Not going to happen. You were created as a man or woman and that’s what you are. Angels are eternal beings that will not die. Angels are innumerable. After researching this subject, it is apparent that no one wants to assign a finite number to the angelic population, because the scriptures tell us there are “ten thousands of ten thousand and more”. They are innumerable. And there’s nowhere in the Bible that tells us that God continues to create angels. He did it all at once. But this is what we do know: When Satan fell, he took one third of the angels. What that means is there is one bad angel to two good angels. There’s a one third to a two thirds ratio! So, the role of angels is this: Angels are assigned to help us do what God has called us to do. They partner with us. They are here to help us. God doesn’t need them, we do. We need them. They were created for us. They are God’s servants sent for us by God. “Bless the Lord, ye his angels, who excel in strength, who do his word, heeding the voice of his word. Bless the Lord, all ye his hosts, you ministers of his and do his pleasure”. (Psalm 103:20-21) So, angels excel in strength. Angels are very strong and never get tired. We can’t relate to that because we need our eight hours of sleep. They don’t get tired and they carry out God’s will, not our will.
Just Another “Turn-Around-Saturday” Apostle Ray Domachowski For Jubilee News It was a normal Saturday doing the things any normal person would do. I was rushing around doing what I needed to do; however, Papa God wanted several folks to have a turn-around-encounter with Him. In the early morning before I started my day, I asked Papa to go before me and prepare the way to use me to speak into His children’s lives that would enable glorious turn-around-moments. With great expectation and His love bubbling up in me, I began my “TurnAround-Moment Saturday” asking Papa to tell me “who and when”. I needed to go to Costco for a couple of things, and when I went in, the Holy Spirit (Comforter) began to stir my heart. I walked down the main
aisle and passed a young man setting up his display, anticipating a great day selling his products. When I walked by, I was drawn to him to share what was on Papa’s heart for him. I kept going and picked up a couple of items, but as I was heading back to the front of the store, the Comforter prompted me again. This time, I went over to where he was, realizing that just as I had items in my shopping cart that were needed to sustain us, Papa had a word for him that would now sustain him! I stopped and we greeted one another & talked about different topics. Remaining attentive to the Comforter, I waited for the right moment to share what Papa was speaking, however, our conversation simply ended. I reached to shake his hand and he said, “God Bless you.” I returned the blessing and walked away, took two steps and Papa said: “That was you’re open door to tell him. Go back and tell him what I have for him.” I walked down one aisle and came up the other aisle thinking I would do a sneak-attack on him. But when
I turned the corner, he saw me and smiled. I said: “I have something for you from Papa and he wants you to know…” I watched tears roll down his cheek as Papa’s words took him into a state of surprise, the look similar to a deer who freezes in front of an oncoming vehicle. This young man was in complete amazement and said to me: “I really needed this and your words were so true and accurate.” Papa’s turnaround moment for this young man will impact him in 2020 & the rest of his life. As I prepared to exit the store, I headed to the cashiers’ counter where I was greeted by a very nice lady with a great big smile, and Papa said: “I have something for her.” So, I began to compliment her how her smile was a gift that brightened God’s children’s days and that inside of her
was a special gift that would speak up and protect other people. She looked at me with that same look as the previous young man as she too thanked me and shared with me how this had made her day! Later that evening. I needed to return an item to JC Penney, and once again I was in a hurry. I wanted to quickly get in & out, return the item and head off to the next place on my agenda for the day. Well, the escalators were out of order, so the only way to go up was to ride the elevator. As I stood patiently waiting for the elevator, a middle-aged gentleman approached me pushing a shopping cart. Guess what? Papa began speaking again! This gentleman had trouble walking and the cart was his support. I noticed a cane on the handle of the shopping cart, and I asked him how his day was going, and he responded. His speech was slurred and
at that moment, Papa began to speak again and wanted me to release His healing power over him by praying for him. The elevator opened and I held the doors open for him, then when he exited, I did too. I told the gentleman to have a blessed day, and took two or three steps, and the Holy Spirit prompted me again. Whoa! It’s time to release Papa’s prayer! I stopped, turned around and said: “Excuse me. As we were on the elevator, I was inspired by Papa God to pray for you.” I asked him if I could pray for him and he said, “Please.” I asked for permission to place my hand on his shoulder and began to release the peace and healing power of Papa. After I prayed, I thanked Holy Spirit for stopping me right in my tracks. As I turned to walk away, he said, “Excuse me, what is your name?” I told him my name
was Ray, and he said, “I will be praying for you.” Wow! What a deal when you walk under the anointing of the Holy Spirit to communicate the love of Papa. You can meet someone new, pray for them and in return they want to bless you. So many times we are in such a hurry to get in & out of wherever we are going, that we miss those moments when we need to stop, listen and obey the prompting of the Holy Spirit, because Papa wants to use you to love on someone. I’m always amazed at Papa God’s love for His children and how much He cares and especially desires us to be His expression of His Love to others. In a little less than 30 minutes that day,

Beauty Comes From Within
By Jan Siarnicki Registered Massage Therapist & Licensed Esthetician For Jubilee News
Beauty from within is such a true statement. You can use all the creams and oils, and exfoliating cleansers for the outside of you, and believe me these products do make a huge difference, but if you aren’t putting the right things into your body; your skin, nails, hair will show it. In many of my articles, I have talked about wonderful products that can help keep your skin healthy, but the one thing I have failed to address is how important eating clean is, and the use of vitamins and other supplements that play a large role on how they help your natural beauty come through to the surface. In my last article, I touched very briefly on the benefits of supplementation with collagen and biotin. In this article, I wanted to dig a little deeper regarding the benefits of those supplements. I’m a firm believer that when you work on getting your skin healthier, the less makeup you will need to wear. I went from wearing a heavier foundation to wearing a barely-there foundation because I got rid of the inflammation in my body. The redness and blotchiness and dark spots disappeared. Here are two supplements I incorporated into my daily vitamins, along with a cleaner diet that totally turned my skin around. Collagen Collagen! What a powerhouse supplement. Collagen was originally used as an injectable to fill fine lines and wrinkles in the 70’s and 80’s. Doctors have since strayed away from it and are now using fillers like Juvederm and Restylane. But the latest research is showing that Collagen taken internally actually triggers your body to produce more of its own collagen. I can tell you from my own experience it works! I have been using it since this past summer every day and my skin is clearer and smoother, I have less dry skin all over, and my hair and nails grow like crazy. Fine lines have melted away. My friends that use it had the same results. It is not toxic in anyway, and there is even a bonus from taking it. It helps stiff joints as well and helps keep bones strong! I put two scoops of powdered Collagen in coffee, over my cereal, in my shakes, or just in a glass of milk. You can even bake with it! Once you start to add collagen into your diet, you will always need to continue to use it on a regular basis. Just like taking vitamins, you can’t just take it once in a while. It is a commitment to using it every single day. That is the only way you will see results. In one month for myself, I saw changes. So what is Collagen? It is the one most abundant protein in the body. It is the main structural protein that forms our connective tissues from bones, muscles, tendons and ligaments. Dr. Shari Marchbeine, a board-certified dermatologist in New York City says: “It’s no wonder that the bottled-up version of this protein (which is usually made of animal collagen) is in high demand”. It makes up 80 percent of
MOMENTS from Pg. 5a two precious individuals were touched with a turn-around-moment that would impact them for the rest of their lives, and then later that evening, another was touched. If Papa asks you to go out into the unknown and become uncomfortable, would you be willing to go and do what He asks you to do? Even if it is unknown and makes you feel uncomfortable, would you do it? The Children of Israel experienced turn-
our skin and in combination with elastin, keeps our skin elastic and is our skin’s support. As we age, our bodies’ collagen production starts to diminish. Dr. Whitney Bowe describes it perfectly: “Collagen is a rope of protein in the skin. When young the rope stays tight, as we age the rope starts to fray.” The aging process, sun exposure, smoking, takes a toll on our ability to replace the lost collagen. Did you know we lose 1 percent of collagen each year? The type of collagen we take in supplement form is hydrolyzed collagen. This type of collagen is the same amino acids as collagen but is more easily absorbed by our bodies. A review was done in the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology. The study supported that collagen could increase skin elasticity, collagen density and overall hydration. Be aware of “plant-based Collagen”. These products do not contain collagen and do not have the research to back them up. It’s a winwin situation! Our bodies need collagen as we age. Just as we may become deficient in other vitamins, we supplement to make sure our bodies are getting what they need to be at our very best. So give your body what it needs! Your body, skin, and hair will thank you for it. Biotin I do not go a day without taking between 5,000 and 10,000 mg of biotin a day. Biotin is a vitamin also known as vitamin H or B7. It is a water-soluble vitamin that is commonly used for hair loss, brittle nails, nerve damage, and helps metabolize fats, carbohydrates and protein. Biotin is not toxic. Being it is a water-soluble vitamin, it is not stored in the body, and that is why it will need to be taken daily. I started taking biotin about five years ago and noticed that my hair growth accelerated. My hair seemed stronger and had less breakage. When my father passed away four years ago, my mother was very stressed. Each time she brushed her hair, her brush was filled with hair. I bought her a bottle of biotin and told her to take 10,000 mg a day. Within a month, her hair was growing like crazy. Her hair stylist would say, ‘My goodness Carrie! I just gave you a perm and now it’s so long that the perm grew out. What are you doing?’ She told her she was taking Biotin. After a few weeks on it her hair stopped falling out, and her nails grew fast as well. So today, if she is running low on her biotin, she makes sure she picks a bottle up right away. To her it’s as important as taking her prescriptions. She can’t get over the healthy hair and nails she has now. Stress in our lives depletes us of many things, B vitamins especially. Biotin is in the B vitamin family. Everyone that I have told about trying biotin did so, and said that it’s the best decision they made. I purchase my vitamins at a health food store, but drug stores carry biotin as well. Collagen can be purchased online and in health food stores. Between adding collagen and biotin to my daily regimen, along with taking a multi-vitamin, I really can’t say enough good things about both of these supplements. My mother is a walking testimony of hair being restored with biotin! I have many friends using collagen, myself included, using both regularly. The results are phenomenal! I am a person that the product has to really work, and I have to try it out and research it before I endorse anything. If you have any questions about any of the information I write about, please feel free to write to me jblondee56@aol.com I’d be glad to help guide you. Please always check with your doctor before starting any supplement. Though both collagen and biotin are very safe, it’s best to make sure neither will affect any other medications you might be taking. ANGELS from Pg 5a an angel”? He said, “Yes!! And, I think you need to tell about it at church because people need to know that this happens today, in this day and age.” I went to church, and we had a guest speaker, a Bible teacher and pastor. I thought: Oh man, I can’t do this. They’re going to think I’m nuts! It was now testimony time, and I had promised my Elder that I would tell what happened to me. So, with that, I assured everyone what had happened to me was real. As I spoke, people were crying because they knew how special that angelic encounter was because of my situation. Then the guest speaker and pastor got up and looked right over at me and said: “Young lady, don’t ever be ashamed or apologize for what the Lord has done. I’m going to be speaking on angels, and I asked God for a testimony.” Angels are so real, and whether you see them or not, it doesn’t matter. They are all around us-for us. Entertaining Angels Unaware My son is now grown, and I recently heard from him. He was living in San Francisco and was between jobs after God delivered him from a bad situation within a company where he was working. He was kind of down in the dumps. (You know how it is when you have to pound the pavement for a job. There’s nothing worse!) So, he called me, and we prayed together. I prayed that the Lord would encourage him. After that prayer, he told me what happened: “Mom, before I left to look for a job, I thought: ‘I’m going to go organize my tools in the back of my car.’ So, I was out doing that, putting

them down on the pavement nearby. A big white truck pulled up beside me, and a man jumped out of his truck, came over to me and said: “Hey, what are you doing?” I said: “I’m just organizing my tools; I’m in-between jobs, and I’m going to be looking for work. I work for the Union.” The man said: “You know, I’m an electrician and there’s a lot of work out here. I just want to tell you; it’s going to go really well for you. Just looking at your tools, I know you know what you are doing. I’m going to be talking to some people today, and if it looks like a good fit, I will put in a good word for you.” This was a total stranger! When does that happen? And then, he was gone, and Joel didn’t hear anything back from him. But an amazing thing happened. Joel went to the Union hall and was talking to the Union Rep who said: “You know Joel, I’ve been holding this job for someone special. Come into my office because I think you’re the person and it is an amazing job.” The job that was presented to Joel is where he worked until moving back to Pennsylvania recently. His boss was the finest boss one would ever want. Chris described Joel’s boss as a very kind and caring individual— when he came on the job site, the employees were happy to see him. Chris explained, “My son is a finish carpenter like his dad. So, when Joel’s boss told Joel about the job, he said, ‘We have only twenty-five clients and they are all very wealthy. They are billionaires, and you will be working with materials that contractors have never heard of because these clients have the money to buy the best. You will be going into their homes and I think you can do this.’ (One of their clients was

nign. It’s not cancerous, so radiation and chemo wouldn’t do anything. We’ll schedule surgery.’ Without surgery, I would have only 6 months to live.” “The neurosurgeon told me no more working ‘til after surgery. I was working at a warehouse doing shipping and receiving and my last day of work was December 10th” Defined as “another miracle” by Brad, not only did the owners of the company where he worked understand, but they didn’t want him to bare any financial burden. His position in the company was held and his health insurance would continue on to cover his medical expenses because they put him on a “salary-base”. Brad went in for surgery on December 30th of 2014. The delicate procedure lasted approximately 14 hours and the five-centimeter cyst that was on the back of his skull was removed with great precision. Brad shared, “It was attached to the brain and was wrapped around the brain stem where nerves funnel down into the spinal cord. It was intertwined with nerves.” This explained why Brad was suffering from such severe headache pain. But what was it that happened during prayer that his intense, persistent pain would suddenly stop, never to come back even as the
cyst remained intact before its removal? It was as if the cyst had been supernaturally disarmed, no longer permitted to cause any more pain. This miracle became a sign to Brad that God’s Hand was on him, and it became his physical assurance that no matter what was to come, God would be with him, no matter what. “A very good friend of mine who is no longer in the area and moved down south, was an evangelist at our church. He came with me and was with me through the surgery and prayed before I went in. Pastor John Custer, [Pastor of Orchard Fellowship in Monessen] also came and prayed for me. it was wonderful.” Brad shared. Although his surgery was successful, it wasn’t without complications. Brad suffered a stroke. He explained, “The actual stroke was found days after the surgery. That’s when they put a shunt in to drain fluid from the brain. After fluid was drained and pressure had been released, the shunt was removed.” The right side of his face had feeling, but there was no muscle movement and his left leg was also affected. He went through physical, occupational and speech therapy for six months knowing that God was with him from the start. Brad’s final ending was positive. Although
doctors projected that Brad would always walk with a walker, Brad beat the odds. He went from a walker to a cane. He shared: “I chose to have the brain surgery because I wanted to live. And I wasn’t going to let this get me down. I didn’t want to be confined to a chair, so I worked really hard at physical therapy and did it at home as well. I was told I would always have to use a walker, but I went from a walker to a cane. Today I walk like I’m drunk, but it’s just a matter of time! “In speech therapy, they surely didn’t think I would be talking as I do now. I mean, not at all! I had no muscle [movement] on the right side of my mouth. My whole right side of my mouth was numb, but I learned how to enunciate my words. He continued, “The surgery was successful. They removed all of the cyst and there are no signs of it returning. The headaches left before the cyst left! It was unbelievable! Thankful to be alive, Brad got married six months ago on August 2nd, 2019 to Cathy Martin, from Fredericktown, PA.” The same minister, Pastor John Custer, from Orchard Fellowship Church where Brad experienced his miracle, presided over the ceremony. Brad shared, “My life is good, and God is good!” God gives us handles to hold on to to get us through troubled times.
We were all broken from a fall. Since the beginning of time we have been trying to be like Humpty Dumpty, and to put ourselves and others back together again. However, only God can do that. In marriage as in life, no one can put the other person back together and two broken people can’t make one whole person. The goal in marriage as it is in life, is to allow God to heal and make whole each person before marriage. Marriage is not fifty-fifty. Marriage is one hundred-one hundred. At times, one person may be giving a hundred percent and the other person is bringing zero. Then, something changes, and the table is turned. The one giving nothing is now giving everything. Marriages change through the years, the tears, and the storms when properly built to last. Marriages must begin as a living growing relationship rather than just a “Thing” that felt good that we fell in to, because, what we fall in to, we can always fall out of. The marriages that last through the storms of life and enjoyed “until death do we part” are alive and growing and aren’t an accident waiting to happen. with no windows. They had bunkbeds, and there was a toy box by the door. My husband and I prayed with them before going to sleep, and when we closed the door, it was pitch black in their room. Jessie told us that one night she was just lying in her bed and at one point, she looked over at the toy box that was right by the door, and there was a large angel sitting on the toy box with his legs crossed. It so affected her that she was speechless. She said, “Mom, all I could do was just turn my head to the wall” (and not move!) The toy box angel--guardian angels are real. Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 18:10)
a sudden, he let go of my hand and I jumped, and… there was no bottom! All I could do was float on my back as the undertow was carrying me out, farther and farther. I was looking up at a brilliant blue sky and gulping the saltwater. At one point, I thought I was going to be with the Lord that day. That’s how scary it was. I just yelled, “Jesus!” Instantly, there were hands on my shoulder blades, and I looked up, and there was a man pulling me back to the shore. When we got back to the shore, he had me stand up. I was coughing, and he asked: “Are you alright?” I said, “Yes,” and all he said was: “Now, you be careful.” I turned to thank him, and he was gone! Gone! He rescued me at the moment I said: “Jesus!” Angels heed the voice of God’s word. They listen to the voice of God’s word. He said, ‘Mom, I had that knowing as he was talking to me that he was an angel. He knew exactly how to pull me out of the dumps. He knew the right words to say to encourage me.’ So, you see, when Joel was four months old, the Lord sent an angel to comfort him in a way that was so special. And now, as an adult, the Lord sent an angel to encourage him—a stranger, and the Lord does that for us. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. (Hebrews 13:2) Yes, angels are sent to us, FOR us, by God. How kind it was for God to do that for us.
Times and Seasons Under the Stars Feb, 26th - March 25th (Month of Adar) March 26th - April 24th (Month of Nissan) By Chuck D. Pierce For Jubilee News (Intro by Hazel K. Palmer) What you are about to digest is not astrology, nor is it your horoscope. Instead, this is the “Real Deal”. Why eat hamburger when you can eat steak? Why not digest the “Real”, rather than the “counterfeit”? Thirty days hath September, April June and November. This is the calendar we are accustomed to. But, did you know that it is a “man-made” calendar that was adjusted to accomodate Constantine; whereas the calendar of old is a “lunar calendar” that follows the times and seasons in the heavens, incorporating earth with the order of the Heavens? Isn’t that powerful? That calendar is still in existence and is used by the Jewish population who have the wonderful understanding that the Heavens speak into our lives as God intended; and that there really are signs in the Heavens that speak and confirm the times and seasons we live in, according to the Divine Order that has
been set into place just for us-not by man, but by the Creator Himself who created man: God Himself. Adar: 29 or 30 days - Feb/ Mar Alphabet: KUF - removing the masquerade, entering joy Tribe: Naphtali - “sweetness is to me;” a time of celebration that your curse is overturned. Constellation: Pisces (the fishes) - finding supply in the “hidden” world. There is an identity for you in the invisible world. Characteristics: Your true identity should be reflected this month, spiritually as well as physically. This is a month to overturn worry through the release of supply. This month you will develop your war strategy. Don’t let the giants produce fear in you and guard yourself from idolatry. This is the time for decrees set against you to be broken; This is the month roots of depression and despair can break
through into faith. Color/Stone: Purple/Amethyst Adar is the twelfth month of the Jewish calendar. The word Adar means “strength”. This is a month of good fortune for the Jewish people and a month of joy. This month of eloquent communication is also a time to get into the celebration mode of ending certain seasons of your life. A lot of us never celebrate endings. The constellation for this onth is Pisces, the month of the fishes. You will find your supply in the hidden world. This is the month where Jesus told Peter to find the fish with the money in its mouth to pay their taxes. Nissan: 30 days - March/April. Alphabet: HEI — Pictures wind, breath, and praise Tribe: Judah (means praise) The month of thanking God for deliverance Characteristics: Repentance, redemption and beginnng of Miracles This is the month for you to watch your speech, which provides the ability to express your deepest feelings and insights. The Hebraic month of Nissan or Abib/Aviv is the first of the twelve months in the Jewish calendar. Abib is a Hebraic term for the stage of growth of grain when the seeds have reached full size. The harvest was waved abefore the Lord this month As you pray over your firstfruits giving and other offerings during this month, wave your gift before
the Lord declaring that the fullness of your harvest is being secured and that every seed you sow will prosper in new ways. As the “first of months” of the Hebrew Year and our “Passover” month when we fully cross into the new season, we are standing at our Promised Land and preparing to enter a new season of inheritance. Allow the Lord to deliver you from every hindrance that would keep you fromor entering your place of fulfillment. Every month is linked with an understanding of one of the twelve tribes. This is the month linked with the tribe of Judah - apostolic leadership, warring tribe, who knew how to operate with sound. This is a key time to PRAISE! Remember, Judah goes first! This is also the time of spring when kings go out to war (2 Sam. 10:1). Even if you are in a season of peace, you must discern what could encroach on your boundaries and war for what is rightfully yours. Allow this to be a season when you war for your covenant promises; do not hesitate to loose a sound of praise that will break you into a new dimension of victory and wholeness. Arise with faith, declare that the power of the Blood of Jesus has set you free, and know that your path of healing and miracles is now before you! Nissan is the month of Passover, and the entire month is a prolonged festival. It’s the month of redemption, the month of the beginning of miracles, and the month that sets the course for your future. Nissan is associated with the Hebrew letter Hei which signifies violent praise. To the JNews, the letter Hei pictured the wind blowing through a lattice over a window. Prophetically this signifies a window with the wind of God blowing down into you evey year. The Spirit of God needs to blow on you during this month. Since Nissan is associated with the tribe of Judah which means “praise” and Judah “goes first”, the first month, Nissan, is Judah’s month. As you go through the Bible and look at everything related to the first month, you will see a pattern depicting the relationship of the feasts to the months. You will learn to read your bible in a new way. Nissan is the month of the beginning of miracles. God has called some of you to operate in miracles, which are part of your gifting and destiny. In “Celebration of Life”, we honor “LEGACY”, not only legacies of those who have gone on before, but also LEGACIES that remain in motion today. The definition of the word “Legacy” is: “A piece of one’s history left behind for following generations to experience.” In this issue, we are honoring the ongoing Legacy of Rev. Beatrice Lamonte, a “General in God’s army” who possesses a genuine “Gift of Faith” that leaves behind a trail blazed for us to follow, all of which is illustrated through her life experiences. None of the following life experiences are outdated, old-fashioned or obsolete. As you read, you will see what FAITH in God looks like and what it looks like to walk with God on a daily basis, completely relying on Him through it all because of His outrageous Love for His people. As you take in these life-changing stories that have been ordered by Heaven to be published, written words will lift off of the pages and enter into you. Allow these true-life experiences to challenge you to experience God for yourself on a level you have never imagined! He is the God of the impossible! And it’s all about “Jesus”.

In 1939 at the age of 23, Beatrice Lamonte was a vibrant young woman who was diagnosed with tuberculosis and faced a death sentence due to the lack of antibiotics at that time. She spent nine months quarantined in a New York sanatorium watching patients die all around her. In her devastation, she remembered God calling her to preach at the age of seven, and she cried out to God for a miracle. Miraculously, Beatrice was the only young woman, out of six who she shared a room with that survived. Her journey to and through death has since been recorded in her book: “Despair to Glory”, a book that has captivated young and old alike.

All of a sudden, he got up and said: “My friend told me to kill you and bury you in the cellar and then run your car into the river. No one will know where you are.” It was true. Nobody would know where I was because I had left my husband sleeping, thinking that I would be back home long before he woke up! I didn’t know what to do. He was yelling and there was no way out because he stood between me and the door. I couldn’t run. There was another door behind me, but it went upstairs, and I just leaned against that door. I really thought that he was going to kill me. He came towards me with his hands out to choke me and he almost to my neck and he started to cry. He said, “Oh my God, Aunt Bea! I almost killed you and you’re the only one who helps me! You’re the only one who ever does anything for me!” And then he went back and sat down. We prayed and things were really good. Then all of a sudden, he got to laughing and started toward me and put his arms around me and said: “I couldn’t kill you. There is a white shield all around you.” This showed me that there really IS a wall of protection around us; that God watches over us when we walk with the Lord. He really does take care of us. This is how we need to walk when we come into situations like this one. We must KNOW that the Lord will take care of us. He goes before us and He makes the way. I went back home, and my husband never knew I was gone. But I always remembered that if the enemy could, he will try his best to kill us. But when we have the Lord on our side, we don’t have to worry because He’s there to protect us.

The Priest and the Hitch Hikers I would always pick people up when I would be driving or going to the store. But times were changing where the people you would pick up would rob you-- things like that. So, my husband made me promise that I would never pick anybody up, and I didn’t for a long time.
miracle.
Somebody in my church, a new lady from California who lived up the road in North Huntingdon said to me: “Sister Bea, there’s a priest dying in the hospital and he’s only 31 years old. Would you go down and see him and pray for him?” He was a friend of her friend. Without even thinking I said, “Yes, I will go down Saturday.”
I stopped and picked them up and they told me they were going to the other side of Delmont to a music festival in a field. And I said: “Don’t take the baby. I’ll take the baby.” And she said, “Well, I don’t have any diapers.” I said, “I’ll buy diapers.” Then she said: “I don’t have any formula.” And I said: “I’ll buy formula.” I did everything I could to get her to give me that baby.
After I thought it over, I thought that I shouldn’t go. But I went, and he was lying by the nurse’s station. He had tubes in his nose and in his mouth. I went over to him and leaned over the bed. I did not call him “Father”. I said “Reverend” and tapped him on the chest: “I’m a minister from McKeesport and I’m here to pray for you.” He moaned. Then I said it again and he heard me, and I realized that this man really needed prayed for! I began to really get stirred up in my spirit! So, I tapped him harder and said: “You need a miracle!” And he said, “Yes. I’ve had a few.” He could hardly talk, and I told him: “Well, I’m going to believe God that He’s going to give you a miracle.” I prayed for him and the anointing of the Lord came upon me and I felt tremendous! I thought: “It’s wonderful that I came down here to the hospital.” I left feeling so good! He was still in the same condition when I left, but I believed God for a
As I was driving down the street [going home], there were two ladies, and one of them had a baby. They were thumbing a ride and I thought, “two women and a baby couldn’t hurt you. “So, I decided I was going to pick them up.
We kept riding along and all of a sudden, we went around a corner and two guys jumped out of the bushes. The woman said: “Oh! There’s my husband! Stop!” I stopped and two guys got into my car! Now I felt different. The man said: “Where are you going?” I told him: “I’m going to leave you off in Monroeville.” And he said: “No, you’re going to take us all the way to Delmont.” I began to really get frightened. Two guys were sitting in the backseat. The one girl who didn’t have the baby was in the front seat with me. One of the guys was really high and he closed his eyes. The other guy who was supposed to be her husband was sitting next to her [the woman with the baby]. I began to pray quietly in the Spirit. “Oh God! I really did it this time! What am I going to do?” We were driving along and at the bottom of the hill was a gas station. I pulled into the gas station and I said: “All of you get
out right now or I’m going to call the police!” Thankfully, they all got out. The girl who was in the front seat gave me the phone number of the girl who sat in the back seat with the baby. She said: “I want you to call her. She’s in big trouble.” I did try to call her, but I never could get a hold of her. Well, I came back home, and my husband couldn’t understand where I had been. He asked me: “Where were you for so long? You were just going to go to the hospital and come right back.” I had forgot all about the priest because I was so worried about what had just happened to me. It slipped my mind completely. The next day was Sunday and I had made dinner after church. We sat down [to eat] that afternoon, and all of a sudden, I thought about the priest! I wondered what happened to him. The way he was, he was probably dead, but I said, “I’m going to call and find out.”
“Pastor Bea”
I called [the nurse’s station] and the nurse answered the phone and asked who this was. I said: “This is the minister who prayed for the priest yesterday.” She said: “Oh yes! Do you know what happened? I want you to know the priest has recovered and he’s down in a regular room. And if he keeps on going the way he is, he’ll be discharged in one week.” Sometimes God works in the midst of all these impossibilities that we have. We don’t know how things are going to turn out, but God somehow… if we walk with Him… He just takes control of our lives, and the bad things turn out to be really good things.

Introduction by Leah Lamonte In the early 1950’s, Beatrice Lamonte gathered seven young people and began praying for God to move in their lives. After meeting on a hillside and then her home in the winter months, they decided to rent a small machine shop on 5th Avenue in McKeesport. They rented the building for $50/month and joined together to clean it up. The group was excited to have a regular location to meet and seek God. Sister Bea never set out to start a church,

Some of her greatest seeds were planted while having a weekly service for children in the Burns Heights housing complex in Duquesne where this next story occurred. Here are her words: I started a sevice on Sunday afternoons up in Burns Heights. That’s a project in Duquesne on top of a hill. I would have a service on Sunday morning [at church] and then a service on Sunday afternoon [at Burns Heights] and a service at church on Sunday night as well. I would lead other services at small churches during the week, so I lived a very busy life back then. I felt led to go to Burns Heights after the Lord spoke to me
specifically about this place. He told me that five families that lived there were caught in the bramble bush and that I was to go release them. I had to be obedient, so I started a service to reach these families. Sunday afternoon at the projects were so marvelous! I had between 50 and 60 children. They would come running in at two o’clock when I would begin, and they came from all directions. They were so precious. I still get to see some of them every now and then who are now grown and remember me from back in the 1950’s. One morning, this little girl came in. She was a skinny little girl who was 11 years old but looked like she
was six. I asked for the children to come up so I could pray for them and that little girl came up. She stood in front of me and looked at me. She said: “You know I’m going to die before I’m 21. The doctor says that I’m going to go blind, and I don’t want to do that.” I put my hands on her and I said: “Honey, you’re not going to do that. We’re going to pray and we’re going to believe God. You’re not going to die when you’re 21, and you’re not going to be blind.” So, we prayed for that little girl and the Lord healed her. Today, she’s 78 years old and is a real estate agent. She is a top salesperson and has been very successful. She never went blind and the Lord healed
her heart. She was told she had a bad heart and would only live to be 21. Today, she wears glasses and sees very well. It’s just wonderful what God does when you step out and do what God has told you to do. I just loved those children. One morning, one of the little boys came in and was very upset. He said: “I’m crippled today! I’m crippled today!” I looked at him, and here he had his big brother’s pants on, and both of his legs were in one of the pant legs and he couldn’t walk! I took him into the bathroom, and I changed him and helped him get into those big pants that day. It was just a wonderful time in my life with those precious children.

The Little Italian Boy Who Never Forgot
I want to tell you about another young man. He lived up the hill from the church. He was a little Italian boy and very, very precious and funny. One day, I was with my sister named Hazel, and we were sitting together while church was going on. This boy came into church and quietly slipped me a note he had written. On the paper it said: “Open in case of fire”. I opened it, and it said: “Not now stupid!” My sister and I couldn’t keep from laughing and thought it was just so funny. This little boy was full of life and always doing funny things. There wasn’t a day that went by that he wasn’t doing something funny to make us laugh.

He told me: “Oh Aunt Bea, the only way I kept my mind was that I remembered what happened in church that day when the Holy Ghost shook me like that. It was the only thing that kept me from losing my mind. I knew there was a God. It kept me from kill-
ing myself or killing someone else. When I would get to the place that I could not take it anymore, it would always come to my mind how I tried to stop shaking that day but couldn’t. I knew it was God.” That man got out of prison and moved to Florida. He called me up and said: “Aunt Bea, I want to come back to the church and meet God where I first got saved. I want to give my life back to God.” So, he came back and started all over again.
Then...
A few months later, he called me again and said, “Aunt Bea, I want to come up and get baptized where I found the Lord.” So, he came back and got baptized. Afterwards, I told him: “No more coming up here. You’ve got to find a church in Florida.” That man found a church and eventually became a pastor. It was outstanding how the Holy Ghost kept his life.

Pastor Beatrice Lamonte’s Love for the Generations to Come
In 1962, the Lord opened the door for Temple of Faith to move to its second home—a storefront building at 2710 Fifth Avenue in McKeesport. That same year, the church was officially incorporated with the state of Pennsylvania. Much hard work and renovation went into the building as God continued to move in this small congregation. Numerous miracles happened as many came to know the Lord. In 1964, sixty drug addicts came from New York City and stayed at the church as they turned their lives over to the Lord and were delivered from the bondages of addiction. During this time, Pastor Lamonte was involved in helping these recovering addicts write a book, cut a record, and make a film called, “Way Out.” Many of these former addicts went on to become ministers including the late Bishop John Gimenez from the Rock Church of Virginia Beach who founded Washington for Jesus. When most middle-aged people were finishing raising children, Pastor Lamonte was just beginning. Foster daughters, Mar-
sha and Shirley, entered the couple’s life in 1970, and four years later, they adopted their son, Samuel. Today, Pastor Samuel Lamonte, and his wife Leah, are the senior pastors of Temple of Faith. In 2004, the Temple of Faith congregation moved to their third and current home at 1108 Jamison Avenue in North Versailles. Rev. Beatrice Lamonte serves as Pastor Emeritus and is still very much active in ministry including preaching at 103 years of age. The following is a transcript, separated into short chapters of the second part of this dynamic interview with Rev. Beatrice Lamonte, led by her daughter-inlaw, Leah Lamonte.
I was like a beach comber; that I went along the beach and I picked up all of the shells that were dirty from down deep and I would clean them off and make them shine, and bring that shine out. I felt that’s who I was. That’s how the Lord sees me.
Most of these young people were in trouble in some little way or another, or something was happening with their parents. They all got saved and filled with the Holy Ghost. A lot of them became preachers. A lot of them are still serving the Lord today.
Bea: I really think that my testimony from when I was 7 years old, when God deposited some faith in me; I think that faith has kept me all of these years. It’s just amazing, but I really do think that’s true. I think it’s faith and determination. You know, you have to have a heart after God. And you need to be determined not to be in and out and up and down. You have to have a straight path and walk in it with God, and I believe the Lord keeps you and really blesses you and ministers to you and through you into others.
Pastor Beatrice Lamonte’s “Gift of Faith”
Bea: I do. You know, it’s amazing when I think about it.

It’s so wonderful to meet people who were saved way back Leah: It’s amazing then and they’re still how your life has been! with the Lord. I think You’re 103 and you’re it’s so wonderful! And when you Bea: Yes. One day come to that place, I had a prophecy, and Leah: You have been that’s when God can the Lord told me that in ministry for seven use us.
Leah: As Christians, we all have a measure of Faith., We are to be faithful to people and have faith in God. But when I think of you and what you’ve been through, it seems like God has given you the “Gift of Faith”. Do you think so?

It seems like the Lord is there ahead of me to guide me and work things out. It’s so amazing. It really is. Leah: What would you say to readers about people who are constantly wavering in their faith? What do you think is lacking? How can people increase their faith in this day and age when everything seems to be in a constant flux?
Years ago, I went on a 40-day fast where I only drank water. On my 33rd day into the fast, I got very sick and started to vomit. I was conflicted because I felt that I had promised the Lord Bea: I think it’s be40 days, and I was they don’t read You know, anybody can serve cause going to stay in bed the Word [the bible] God when the sun’s shining and do the rest of enough, and they this fast even if I die. bright, but only God gives a song don’t settle their mind I was willing to stay in the night. As soon as somegot a letter from her. What I’m going to say thing goes wrong, instead of really trusting is absolutely true--every word as God as my God, they do a lot of other things. They get witness. She said to me in her letter: “Sister their cell phones and they look at their cell Bea, the Lord told me that you’re fasting. For phones for answers. They never seek God for some reason, I am to take 7 days of your fast anything anymore because there’s no need to. and those days will be counted to you.” There are answers all around them. In one sense, I was in awe of how the Lord I think they don’t spend any time with the had spoken to me through this woman’s letLord, and don’t spend time reading the Word ter. In another sense, I was still determined and therefore don’t have any faith. They to finish those 7 days on my own even don’t know what it is to believe God. Leah: You are a voice to ministers because of your longevity and being in ministry for so long. So, my question is: “What is the best part of serving God all of these years? What has been one of the hardest things about being in ministry?” Bea: That’s a hard question. The easiest thing is walking with the Lord every day. After a while, you get into the habit that when you miss a day, you feel like you’ve lost something. But when you set your mind to have 10-15 minutes with the Lord seriously in the morning and you make that time, when you don’t do it, you feel like you’ve lost a day. That is so important. Talk to the Lord and tell him about your family. I ask Him to watch over me today; watch over my family; keep everything concerning me through the precious blood of Jesus. Start the day like that. As for the hardest thing about being in ministry for so long, would be seeing people who have really known the Lord, and you see them walk away from Him. That’s what hurts me more than anything. They just give up and quit instead of pressing in and getting to where God would have them be. I ministered way back when women ministers weren’t counted. It was very hard back then to be a woman who was a minister--very hard. One day, I went to the hospital to pray for somebody and when I told the lady that the minister was here, she turned around and said: “Where are they? I don’t see a minister.” I said: “I’m the minister.” And she said, “No.” And she just walked away from me. I found that many times when I started out. People let you know that they are not interested in listening to a woman who is in ministry. But God blessed me, and I moved on anyway. And I’m not complaining. Leah: Do you think those hard times that you had to experience as a young woman serving God, in a sense prepared you for your life? Did it make you stronger or give you the ability to be able to persevere? Bea: Yes. That is so true. One day at eleven o’clock, I already had four or five phone calls of people needing help. I was really tired, and I went by my bed and I got down on my knees and I said: “Lord, look at this. It’s not even eleven!” And the Holy Ghost said to me: “Get up! I made you strong.” You know, I got up and I began to praise God and thank him. And I believe God has made me strong. When we allow our own troubles to make us strong instead of tearing us down, each one is like a battleground. And each battle that you fight you concur that the battle makes you stronger for a bigger one. And each battle gets bigger, and the stronger you are for everyone, and the older we get, the more we can overcome the evil one. God strengthens us and helps us to live a life of joy and peace, instead of sickness and moaning and groaning all of the time and complaining. God lets us live above that. And even at my age, I feel like I have complete peace. I really do and I thank the Lord for it.

A Message to Those Who Are 70 and 80 Years Young Leah: A major highlight of your life has been in “the secret place” with the Holy Ghost. So much of what you do is because you spend time with Him, and there’s that great anointing that you receive. I was wondering if you could share the story about the time when you were in your secret place, and the Holy Ghost asked you about offering yourself to Him? Bea: One morning, I was in my secret place and I was praying and waiting on the Lord, and the Holy Ghost spoke to me from Romans 12:1: “Would you present your body a living sacrifice which is holy and acceptable unto the Lord which is your reasonable service?” I wondered why the Lord would say that to me. Am I going to die? The Holy Ghost said it again: “Would you present your body a living sacrifice which is holy and acceptable unto the Lord which is your reasonable service?” And I wondered if I was really able to say: “Yes I am.” After I sat there for a while, I felt that the Holy Ghost wanted an answer. And I said “Yes. I am willing Lord, and whatever you desire of me, that will I do.” And I put my hands up. I raised my hands to the Lord, and I began to cry. And I want you to know, for the next month I felt like I was walking on a cloud. When we come and give ourselves to God, He blesses you. He never forsakes you. And you know, from Glory to Glory, God is changing us. And we have these times of connecting with the Holy Spirit as he takes us from Glory to Glory. Leah: Let’s touch on the message of life that you often share. And when I say “life”, I mean longevity in life, having
purpose in living and believing God to live 120 years, because that’s what He has promised in His Word. You really are a minister who won’t just read that and gloss over it. You truly believe it and
you have implemented it into your life. Could you comment about that message of LIFE and believing God for a hundred and twenty years for yourself? Bea: Many years ago, and I can’t remember how long, the Lord spoke to me. I had attended a church service and there was a woman there that preached life. She laid hands on me and imparted “LIFE” to me. I want you to know something. I felt different. I was 58 years old when I got my son, and he was two months old. Everybody said to me: “How are you and your husband going to raise him? You are 58 years old and you’ll be dead and gone, and what’s going to happen to him?” The next morning after that lady proclaimed the message of “LIFE” to me, I came downstairs and looked into the mirror and prophesied: “You are going to be here when your son grows up, and you’re going to see his son.” And I believe that! And maybe even
his son’s son! And I believe that! And I’ve believed that ever since.
The Bible says in 2 Timothy:1: 9- 10: “Jesus Christ abolished death and imputed life
through the gospel that you’ll find life.” So, if we look in the Word… all the way through the Word, you’ll find out about LIFE. Jesus came that you might have LIFE, and that more abundantly! We don’t teach it. We don’t hear it. So, when we reach 70 or 80, the doctor says you’re going to die. You know what? We’re 80 years old and we take that, and we believe it and we let that dwell in our minds. You think: “I’m 80 years old and I’m probably not going to live, but maybe 10 more years.” Or maybe “I’ll just have five more years.” So that becomes a part of us. Instead of having our minds renewed to what the Word of God says. The Word says that Jesus came that you might have LIFE! And more abundantly! And so, I teach that, and I believe it. And we teach it in our church, and we believe it. And we live it. Leah: What would be your advice to an older person? Maybe they are
in their 80’s and they are sick in their bodies and feel weak in their mind, and honestly maybe they feel like giving up on life. What would be your advice to someone who’s experiencing that? Bea: The Lord spoke to me the other day. Many of us have a destiny that we need to fill. We die before our destiny is fulfilled because we allow the enemy to take over our life. If you know God has something for you, you’re going to believe God to live and see that Destiny. If we see, then we’re going to reach out and believe God for it. Instead of the doctors and people saying: “Well, you’re old now.” So, even if we have a destiny and we’re too old to fill it--no we’re not! If we step in there and believe God, I don’t care what age you are! You could step in there and believe God and He would heal you and raise you up and you would still continue to fulfill that which God has called you to do. And I say that seriously.

I could go on and on and I have so many stories and so many things I could share. You know, we need to get our minds settled in on the Lord. And when you read this, you have to think on it. God wants to move on everyone, not on just certain people. The gifts of God are for everyone and the Spirit of the Lord is for everyone. You can receive as much as you really want. It’s free! And if you really get in there with the Lord, whatever you desire, God will give it to you. But it’s up to you! It’s not up to anybody else. You’re the master of your own body, and whatever you hear from the Lord, He’s willing and able-more than able to give it to you. And that’s it.
