Meet Hazel!

“creativity is the bridge between imagination and reality”

Hi there! I’m a university student with a passion for design and digital media. My journey started with visual storytelling which led me to explore various forms of digital media which can bring my creativity to life.

I cconstantly push the boundaries of my creativity. I love editing photos to bring out their best qualities whether it is adjusting colours, removing backgrounds or changing its blending options. From recording videos to audios, it is cool to explore diverse topics and story to share insights and tell a story through mini movies and short films.

The pink and white theme of the magazine is used to reflect my character and unique blend of creativity and modern blend. Pink represents my youthful and lively spirit and white makes the overall magazine looks clean and elegant.

MONSTERS INVADING THE

CITY!

Adobe Photosho P

I changed the hue and brightness of the image and adjusted it higher to make the image look more film-like. Monsters are inserted into the picture to make it look unrealistic, and they have come to destroy the city

I edited the photo to make it brighter and less contrasted, highlighting Yoko’s face more clearly.

I modified the image to make it more purple and saturated, evoking a spring-like atmosphere.

Nature

I edited the hue, saturation and brightness of the image and made it look more brighter and dreamy like a scene from a drama because of how beautiful the nature was in real life

I recently saw the Tinkerbell movie series with my small cousin and was inspired to make a fairy theme for my classmate Yoko. The theme I was going for was a purple fairy flying through the sky. To make the image and skin appear more pale, I applied a gradient map with a blue-green colour.

I added two blue and purple skies to create a blueish purple blend and increased the opacity to 3040% for a translucent background and also added the wings, clouds, and castle to the background.

The skin texture was altered by generating a sparkle blush to make the skin shimmer and give it a pixie dust look. To add glitter to the atmosphere, a new layer was built with a screen blending mode that blended into the body.

CrybAby remix

A story about crybaby being abducted in a bottle by witches in a dark forests, and numerous monsters are going after it. By changing the blending mode, opacity and removing the backgrounds, a remix of 10 images is created.

I was inspired by my favorite popmart character, crybaby. Most of the images have been cropped and their background has been removed to fit into the image remix. The opacity of some images such as the cloudy background and the moon has been changed to 5060% so that it will not look too loud and can blend in well with the forest background.

I have contributed significant original elements to the image. By combining my own pictures with copyright free images and manipulating elements such as opacity, backgrounds, and composition, I crafted a unique piece of art. Therefore, in terms of creativity, my work stands out as an original piece due to the distinctive changes and unique context I have provided.

It is natural to feel a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction with my work. Using the image for personal purposes is generally less problematic than using it in a public or commercial setting. Copyright law primarily focuses on public and commercial use, so personal use typically carries fewer legal risks. However, it is essential to be aware that I have to be careful about wider distribution. Reference 1 click here Reference 2 click here

Since the Kunfu Panda 4 movie was so popular, I went to see it a few days before recording the podcast. I considered giving a movie review of Kunfu Panda 4 for the podcast because my friend and I really enjoyed the movie.

The podcast lasted 6 minutes and included numerous “erms” and interruptions. I exported it to Adobe Audition and edited it down to 1 minute and 30 seconds, removing all pauses, “erms,” and slightly repeated parts.

I also reduced the DB so that it was not too loud and used noise reduction to remove any undesirable background noises. I also altered the entrance and outro background music by shortening it and fading in and out. I made a multitrack and arranged everything inside in order to ensure that it runs well.

A short 30-second film about a girl who is so hungry that she imagines herself going to 711 to purchase food and finally eating, only to realise that it is all a dream and she is still stuck in class feeling hungry.

The original film was almost 2 minutes long, then I cut it down to 1 minute and 30 seconds, then 1 minute, and eventually 30 seconds. Following the editing process, a voice over was used to describe what the actress was thinking in her thoughts, and stomach growling sound effects were added to illustrate that the actress was really hungry.

Transitions such as dip to white were included at the start of the introduction with a subtitle of the movie’s title. Cross-zoom transition was introduced to go to a new location.

Some portions of the movie are slow, such as showcasing the diferent types of food and walking, so the speed was increased to 110-120% to make the film faster. Additionally, an ending credit was added to show the production team.

The small movie is a restaurant vlog for True Cost, recommending a wonderful restaurant to dine at. It highlights the attractive views and decoration of the restaurant, the excellent food and drinks, and the unique discounted cost pricing that is lower than the market price.

After editing the movie to 1 minute and 30 seconds, I voiced it in a vlogging style and processed it in Adobe Audition, decreasing the background noise. I described how the restaurant operates, as well as the recommended cuisine and beverages. The background music was also modified using audition to make it softer and shorter, and it was included for a relaxing mood throughout the video.

The highlights and shadows of the movie were adjusted lower to rectify some of the video colours and make them appear as they would in real life. Text was added to introduce the dishes and location of the restaurant to help viewers comprehend them better.

Sound effects such as food cutting and straw sipping are used to make the video more lifelike. Video transitions such as dip to white and film dissolve are used during dish changeover to smooth out the process and change the focus of the dishes.

The background music fades in and out at the start and end of the mini movie to prevent it from stopping or starting suddenly. Basic graphic effects such as vector motion, Gaussian blur, and alpha grow are used to enhance the text’s visual attractiveness and engagement.
