Foundation News
Celebrating 40 Years
of Service to the H.A.R.D. Community

Dear Community Members,
As President of the H A R D Foundation Board, I am excited to welcome you to another incredible summer in our parks! Since 1983, the H A R D Foundation has been a proud supporter of the Hayward Area Recreation & Park District (H A R D ), working to ensure that everyone in our community has access to the outdoor spaces, programs, and experiences that make summer truly special
Summer is a time for adventure—whether it’s children making lifelong memories at camp, families gathering for a picnic in the park, or neighbors coming together for outdoor concerts and recreation Parks and recreation bring us together, providing opportunities to explore, play, and recharge That’s why the H A R D Foundation is committed to ensuring that every child, teen, adult, and senior has access to enriching summer experiences, regardless of financial barriers
Through our “I ♥ H A R D ” campaign, we are rallying our community to support the parks, camps, and programs that make summer unforgettable Your donation helps provide scholarships for kids to attend camp, improves our parks and facilities, and expands access to recreation programs that promote health and well-being As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the H A R D Foundation depends on generous supporters like you to keep our community active, engaged, and thriving
This summer, I invite you to stand with us By giving to “I ♥ H A R D ”, you are investing in a season filled with joy, discovery, and connection for our entire community Together, we can ensure that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the best that summer—and our parks— have to offer
Thank you for being a part of our shared vision
Warm regards,
Lori Taylor, Board President Hayward Area Recreation and Park District Foundation
