Planning a literacy event? Norris has purchased scholastic books grades K-8 for T1 Campuses to give out at PFE Events or to send home for at home Parent-Student Literacy Engagement. ALL CAMPUSES
ALL Hays CISD Secondary Students have access to Varisty tutor’s online homework work through May 2025. Students will need to locate the Varisty icon in the Library in Classlink. Once they add varsity, then they can access homework help (includes AP level courses through intervention) including the ability to upload and get feedback on their essary. There are also FREE Enrichment classes.

Fine Arts Action Items
MS Principals: Due to a short benchmark testing window, BMS, DMS and WMS bands will attend Pre-UIL on 2/21/24 and CMS, MMS and SMS bands on 2/22/23. 6th Grade Choir Evaluation (Pre-UIL) is on 2/26/24. Exact times coming soon. MS & HS Principals: Music students will attend a performance by the Austin Symphony at the PAC on 2/2/24 - details here. 2-5 students from each HS will perform with the ASO. Mariachi Pre-UIL is on 1/19/24.

New Healthcare Provider, Harbor Health - Hays CISD is collaborating with Harbor Health. If interested, employees will have the option to switch from their current Primary Care Provider (PCP) to one of Harbor Health's providers. The clinic's proximity to the Plum Creek community may make it easier and more convenient for individuals to receive care when necessary. Additionally, a mobile clinic will rotate for medical visits; the locations and further details will be announced soon. Stay tuned for more details about our partnership with Harbor Health.

Make time to analyze the data with your Pre-K teachers and CELEBRATE! Review this helpful webinar in the CLI Engage system on Analyzing Pre-K CPM Data for MOY. After data analysis, the next step is to plan for small group instruction. The CIRCLE system will group students for the teacher and provide small group lesson activities based on the data from each measure assessed.

TEA’s window is 2/5 - 2/9, but we are strongly recommending campuses to test on MONDAY, February 5th to knock out the field test! We will not offer makeups the following day. We understand and value the hard work and dedication of each and every student, and the families and staff who support them. Don’t forget to send out messages to our parents that are consistently getting their students to school. It is amazing how much a positive message can impact parents and students!
Teachers know first hand that too many absences can disrupt learning, not just for the absent student but for the entire classroom. To help build a culture of attendance and maintain it throughout the school year, help your teachers follow these every day strategies to help improve attendance and student achievement:
