PREPARATION
INSPECT the roof and replace any broken, chipped, or defective tiles, or damaged areas. Where applicable, reposition any tiles that have shifted and replace rusted sheets or fixings.
PROTECT by masking all areas not intended to be coated. DISCONNECT rainwater tanks from guttering and storm-water systems to prevent contamination from wash-off or spills.
REMOVE any rust with a power tool or wire brush. TREAT any remaining rust spots with a rust converter and any moss and lichen with mould treatment.
CLEAN thoroughly to remove any dirt, grime, biological growth and treatment residues. Allow surface to dry completely before coating.

Regular cleaning helps maintain the roof's appearance and performance. Wash the surface at least annually to remove dirt, debris, mould and environmental build-up. Use low-pressure water and mild cleaning solutions only. Avoid harsh chemicals and highpressure washing, which may damage the coating.
Conduct a visual inspection at 6-12 months after application to identify signs of wear early. Check for peeling, cracking, impact damage, blocked gutters and areas of ponding water. Routine inspections help maintain the coating system and its ongoing protective performance.

Keeping the roof clean and free from organic build-up helps prevent mould, mildew and algae growth. Regularly remove leaves, dirt and debris, particularly in areas where moisture can accumulate. Annual low-pressure washing with a mild cleaning solution is recommended. Keeping gutters and downpipes clear also helps reduce moisture retention. Regular maintenance supports long-term appearance and performance.
