What is The Fremantle Trust? The Fremantle Trust is a well established, local care provider with years of experience providing high standards of care to people within their local community. Our committed and experienced care teams support people with nursing or dementia needs as well as, quite simply, providing a kind and friendly face someone to share a morning cup of tea with, watch a favourite film with or enjoy a night cap in a safe environment.

At what point should a care home be considered? There comes a turning point when you or a relative realise that living alone is not safe. Factors like a loss of mobility together the stress of managing and maintaining your home, through to feelings of isolation and loneliness. These are often indicators that a care home would be beneficial - where physical and emotional needs can be met in a homely place.

What is life like in The Fremantle Trust care homes? There’s a real sense of community in the Trust’s homes. There are always plenty of opportunities to socialise, but also time to have your own privacy or spend time with a friend or relative. We have great links with local schools, which creates a great atmosphere for our residents. Each of our bedrooms are ensuite, there is home cooked food available 24hrs a day, it’s cosy and warm, health and medical needs are monitored and met. Aspects of normal life, like a trip to see the hairdresser or to enjoy a favourite tipple, continue. Once they move in, our residents and their families are free from worry. What advice would you give to someone looking for a care home? You should aim to choose a home where you can maintain contact with friends and relatives, in person or online. It’s important that the home that you select respects individual preferences, cultural and religious beliefs. Access to outdoor space and gardens is also an important consideration and we’re proud that all of our homes have magnificent gardens. Make a short list and visit more than once if you can and ensure you feel confident that the teams at the home are caring, skilled and kind.

What’s different about The Fremantle Trust’s care homes? We truly value the uniqueness in everyone and recognise that our residents are individuals with hopes, desires and aspirations regardless of their age. We make sure that everyone has the opportunity to express their views and continues to be an active member in their community and wider society.
