3.3.1 Next Steps for Havering

Previous sections have outlined recommended approaches to supporting businesses. The council has a particular role to play in achieving this as a convener of local stakeholders to engage in these issues. Before programmes are developed, it would be strongly recommended to engage with local groups such as the Chambers of Commerce as well as the Business Improvement Districts in Rainham and Romford to produce a coordinated approach to supporting businesses. It is also recommended to work with pan-London bodies, such as the GLA, to identify carbon reduction programmes or funding sources to tackle carbon emissions.
