


We are a purpose built youth and community centre in Harold Hill which opened to the public in June 2012. We serve the community by providing a welcoming and friendly space hosting many different activities for all ages ranging from dance, drama, arts, education to ftness and special needs sessions. We are also home to Havering Youth Service who provide varied sessions for young people. In addition to this we have several rooms which are available for members of the public to hire including a fantastic Performance Hall, Counselling Rooms and even a Music Room!

Havering Youth Service works with young people across the borough offering a range of projects that aim to support young people in their life development.
These projects include: youth clubs, one-to-one support, providing information and advice services, outreach projects, working with those with additional needs, promoting the voice and positive image of young people,facilitating accreditation programmes such as the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme and working with a range of partners in developing young people’s skills and assets.
Our current and main areas of delivery are:
• The myplace centre – this multi-purpose centre, based in Harold Hill, offers direct youth services, as well as a range of community activities for Havering residents
• Rainham Royals Youth Club – the Council works with Royals to provide a weekly youth club
• Outreach – in partnership with Havering Housing, the detached team work with young people in communities, in parks and on estates to engage with young people excluded from mainstream settings
• Holiday activities – during school holidays, a range of projects and activities are organised such as sport, music and art
This is our largest and most impressive space at myplace. Set up with multi use functionality, the hall can be hired for anything from childrens’ parties and dance classes to theatre performances and large scale conferences. The room comes with its own adjoining toilets and changing rooms. This space can hold up to 200 people.
Equipped with a number of iMacs complete with creative sound and image software and a number of instruments, this space is ideal for those looking to edit tracks or practise their musical skills.

A compact Art Room suitable for small art classes, evening tuition and small counselling sessions. This room is equipped with two sinks and a projector.

Designed to provide an exceptional meeting space, this room comes with a built in projector and screen with built in speakers.
Tables and seating can be changed to suit individual requirements.
This space can hold up to 40 people.
A large, bright and airy space, the Games room provides the perfect environment for fun. With colourful panels along one side and equipped with multiple gaming facilities, the room can be hired for anything including group sessions, creative meetings and childrens’ parties.

A fun space that has easy access to the car park, it comes with a sink, sofas, TVs, pool table and plenty of power points.
This is an ideal space for youth or creative sessions but can just as easily be used for small meetings.

This space is ideal as a nurse’s or physio room, complete with desk and sink. It can also be used for counselling sessions, physio treatments and health checks.

Over 60 myplace centres were built between 2008 and 2013 to serve
disadvantaged communities throughout the country. Myplace Harold Hill opened in June 2012 with the aim of helping young people to become happy, independent, mature citizens and responsible members of their community. It is an award winning eco friendly building situated in the heart of the community. We are fully wheelchair accessible and have 2 disabled parking spaces available.
