In this issue, we’re celebrating the people and stories that make our community feel a little more connected (and a lot more interesting). We visit with Maria Petit Food Boutique in Auburndale, we meet Travis Doodles in Lakeland and learn how he’s helping the unhoused, we take a look at the endurance and excitement of the Twelve Hours of Sebring, hear the mystery of the Betz Sphere, and highlight the incredible impact of Lighthouse for the Blind. (plus, so much more!) We have some truly inspirational people in this issue.
Jeremy Gardner is back! I’m excited to announce that Jeremy will write a fictional short story for us every month. May’s story is called “The Lure,” and it’s so good. It’s funny, a little scary, a little sweet, and you can’t stop reading once you start.
It’s Mother’s Day this month, and whether you’re celebrating moms, being a mom, missing your mom, or standing in as a mom, I hope you have a peaceful and beautiful day.
