A TIME OF GRIT, TENACITY & OPTIMISM

And just like that, it’s May, and we are nearly halfway through 2023! Fluctuating mortgage rates, a lack of affordability, and some lingering supply chain delays are just a few of the obstacles our industry has continued to face over the past few months. I know that the current slowdown has left industry experts, homebuilders and consumers alike uncertain – and I have been listening to everyone’s thoughts and opinions.

Despite the challenges we face, my optimism –and overall builder optimism – is strengthening. In fact, the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) reports that builder confidence in the market rose seven points to 43 – the strongest reading NAHB has recorded since September 2022.

Because of the high standards of the Association, as well as the tenacity, grit, and quality-driven practices our local industry upholds, I’m proud to watch so many continue to work hard to make homeownership and home improvement possible for Hoosiers throughout Central Indiana.
