HAUTE LIVING AND HAUTE TIME FETED RECENT COVER STAR Justin Hartley with an intimate celebration at Pendry West Hollywood on May 25, following the official wrap of his hit series This Is Us. The SAG Award-winning actor was joined at the soirée by his wife, Sofia Pernas, and a multitude of longtime friends and their spouses, as well as Micah McFarlane, his business partner in Revel Spirits. The guest of honor was Arnaud Michon, brand president for Omega watches, and US CEO of Swatch Group. The evening was presented by Omega, with their collection of watches on display around the outdoor space at Pendry. In a speech, the 45-year-old actor, producer, and Omega brand ambassador shared how much he loved Omega, a brand that he says “stands for so much goodness in the world” and how surprised he was that Omega loved him given that he’s such “a goof.” The evening was toasted with champagne as well as Justin’s cocktail of the evening, Hartley Thyme, made with his thyme-infused Revel Abilo Blanco agave spirit, passionfruit, orange blossom honey, and prosecco. Other notable guests included Haute Media Group co-founder Seth Semilof, Editor-in-Chief Laura Schreffler, surgeon to the stars Dr. Garth Fisher, and Sean Lee.

Real Estate Visionary
Robert Rivani purchases $19.55 million mansion in Malibu.
BY MARY GIBSON
ROBERT RIVANI, REAL ESTATE MOGUL AND PRESIDENT OF BLACK LION, RECENTLY PURCHASED A 4,650-square-foot Mediterranean-style mansion on Malibu’s Carbon Beach, popularly known as Billionaire’s Beach. The home was previously owned by Fox and HBO executive Michael Lambert.
Rivani’s Black Lion, a commercial real estate investment company founded in 2014, has transacted more than $500 million in deals across the U.S., and $100 million deals closed in the last six months. This new Malibu purchase marks Black Lion’s foray into the ultra-luxury West Coast real estate market.
Plans are underway to convert the waterfront property, which is minutes from Malibu hotspots such as Nobu Malibu and Soho House’s Little Beach House, to a luxury oasis. Rivani’s neighbors will include Dr. Dre, Rob Reiner, Larry Ellison, and former Dodgers CEO Jamie McCourt, among others.
As Black Lion continues its expansion into the South Florida hospitality space, their most recent projects have included Brickell Bay Boardwalk, Wynwood Jungle, Amara at Paraiso in Edgewater, and new venues at Marea South Beach. The two most anticipated new dining concepts, one in SLS LUX in Brickell and the other at Continuum on South Beach, also make the list.
