Statement Wallpaper

Tired of winter and ready for spring! I love how this season lights up the desire for making new and fresh and beautiful things happen in the home. One of my favorite ways to do this is with removable wallpaper — it's a fun and easy way to refresh a room and give it a whole new look and feel. Whether it's a dramatic wallpaper, with strong contrast and a fun theme, or a more elegant look and softer colors — the change is quick, fun to do and so satisfying to see the difference a little wallpaper can make. Next spring — or next season — it's easy to change it up again since it comes down even easier than it went up. With so many color and style options to choose from, removable wallpaper is fun, versatile and provides instant gratification. It's a great way to welcome a new season into your home. Visit us at Finery & Cake in Lakeway to see our full selection of removable wallpapers.

Natural elements such as a raw teakwood table, a branch with lichen found in a pasture, or organic fabrics for bed linens, maybe an antique or vintage piece found at a yard sale, the twice a year shopping extravaganza, known as Round Top, or even better, an existing heirloom piece that nods to one’s own personal history or heritage; these are a few of my favorite things. Designing using these somewhat unusual, and sometimes surprising elements, mixed with new pieces for functionality and staging it all in a comfortable and understated way is what I love best any season. Lauren Turner Design | @laurenrealturner

Far too long the walls and floors have received all of the love in design. Ceilings are getting the royal treatment this season. Wood, wallpaper, paneling and high altitude pops are Lauren Turner Design’s favorite ways to bring cohesive design to her spaces. You are able to balance color and texture throughout the spaces and optimize flow utilizing this often forgotten space in our interiors. See more of my interior design projects @laurenrealturner.
