Each year, this book showcases our company’s success stories.

Missing from its pages, though, are the stories of the challenges we faced and overcame. For Hausmann, every incredible highlight in this Year in Review has its own story of teamwork, creativity, problemsolving, and thoughtful planning.

It’s no secret that our work depends on trust and excellence from a variety of stakeholders. The achievements of the past year, more than ever, certainly grew out of the collaboration, effort, and cooperation we received at every level from owners, architects, subcontractors, and our own employees. For that, I am truly grateful.

Those reading this also know we have all had to find new ways to operate, adapt, and communicate in 2021. Your patience and energy have allowed us to meet these challenges head on for the benefit of our clients and communities. This support has also allowed us to take a lead role developing student interest in our industry, cultivate a dynamic work culture applauded by young professionals, and hang our flag on some of the region’s most impressive and award-winning projects.

SUMMERLAND PUBLIC SCHOOLS NEW PK-12 SCHOOL LOCATION: Ewing, NE ARCHITECT: Wilkins ADP Built on a greenfield site, this new 130,000-square-foot PK-12 school is the product of over 50 years of partnering, consolidating the Clearwater, Ewing, and Orchard school districts into one building. The state-of-the-art facility includes a top-loading gymnasium, student collaboration areas, STEM spaces with the latest technologies, science labs, media center, commons that overlooks the new athletic field, and a five-room press box on the roof of the building.

TEKAMAH-HERMAN PUBLIC SCHOOLS HIGH SCHOOL ADDITION & RENOVATION LOCATION: Tekamah, NE ARCHITECT: Carlson West Povondra This renovation of a high school includes essential additions and rework to the interior and exterior of the school. The 40,000square-foot addition includes a new gym, locker rooms, a fitness and weight room, a wrestling practice area, a commons area, state-of-the-art science classrooms, and a new main entrance complete with an administrative area. The project also included renovations to existing classrooms and a new city street that allows easier access to the school facilities.

POUDRE SCHOOL DISTRICT FORT COLLINS HIGH SCHOOL RENOVATION LOCATION: Fort Collins, CO This project included multiple renovations to both the interior and the exterior of the high school, originally built in 1995. Work on the bridge link between buildings, roof installation, and various improvements throughout the building were also completed.

HOEHNE SCHOOL DISTRICT

VOCATIONAL EDUCATION BUILDING LOCATION: Hoehne, CO ARCHITECT: RTA Architects OWNER’S REPRESENTATIVE: Diversified Consulting Solutions Providing space for STEM-related instruction, this new 7,800-square-foot vocational technical building features open learning spaces for agriculture, welding, and woodworking. The project also included new restrooms, a classroom, office, storage space, and renovation to an existing IT room.

PONCA TRIBE OF NEBRASKA LINCOLN CLINIC RENOVATION PHASE I LOCATION: Lincoln, NE ARCHITECT: Seven Generations Architecture & Engineering Phase I of this 45,000-square-foot clinic — reworked from a former office building — includes interior renovations creating health, dental, and pharmaceutical service departments with multiple exam rooms, an x-ray department, and minor operatory procedure rooms. Exterior building upgrades include a new entrance canopy, new exterior panels, and sitescapes.

GOOD NEIGHBOR COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER CLINIC RENOVATION LOCATION: Columbus, NE ARCHITECT: CMBA Architects This 2,500-square-foot renovation of an active healthcare clinic features a new reception and administration check-in area, four new private patient exam rooms, and a revamped entrance. The project also included an expanded lab area, an operable partition, and new paint, flooring, lighting, casework, and doorways throughout.

AVERA SACRED HEART HOSPITAL PHARMACY RENOVATION LOCATION: Yankton, SD ENGINEER: SES Engineering This project included the renovation of an existing pharmacy within the occupied hospital. Improvements were made to the electrical and mechanical systems as well as finishes throughout the space.

CT ROOM AND LAB RENOVATION LOCATION: Tyndall, SD ENGINEER: SES Engineering This renovation included updating the existing CT Room and adjacent laboratory space, updates to the mechanical and electrical systems, and improvements to finishes throughout the facility.

AVERA ST. ANTHONY’S HOSPITAL PHARMACY & COMPOUNDING ROOM RENOVATION LOCATION: O’Neill, NE ENGINEER: SES Engineering Mechanical and electrical system upgrades and various improvements were made to the existing pharmacy receiving room and compounding room at Avera St. Anthony’s Hospital.

UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA MEDICAL CENTER WITTSON HALL / WIGTON HERITAGE CENTER LOCATION: Omaha, NE ARCHITECT: HDR This project features the complete occupied renovation of the eight-level McGoogan Library of Medicine, the renovation of the nearly 50-year-old Wittson Hall, and the construction of the 10,000-square-foot Wigton Heritage Center, all part of the University of Nebraska Medical Center. The finished product includes classrooms, science and anatomy labs, faculty offices, study spaces, a VR room, three new doctor’s offices, a new ground-floor reception area, and a chancellor balcony. A new atrium at the Wigton Heritage Center connects to the University Tower at Wittson Hall and replaces old walkways between the buildings.

WAYNE STATE COLLEGE BENTHACK HALL LOCATION: Wayne, NE ARCHITECT: Leo A Daly Creating an identifiable entry point for the building, this 42,000square-foot renovation includes the reconfiguration of spaces to support the study of industrial technology, computer technology, family and consumer science, early childhood education, and counseling. The project also features structural and interior finish upgrades throughout, with new state-of-the-art systems to increase energy efficiency.

JOHNSON FAMILY EQUINE HOSPITAL

LOCATION: Fort Collins, CO ARCHITECT: Clark & Enersen OWNER’S REPRESENTATIVE: Tetrad Property Group New construction of a 99,250-square-foot equine teaching hospital for Colorado State University provides leading-edge teaching, research, and clinical services for equine veterinary medicine. The hospital provides new ways to perform surgery and take diagnostic images of equine patients, allowing them the best care in the region. The facility also provides outpatient care, along with internal medicine, surgery, reproduction, dentistry, dermatology, neurology, cardiology, rehabilitation, and CT scanning technology to evaluate equine patients while standing, reducing stress and minimizing risk. These features along with a future sports medicine component – featuring hydrotherapy and a proprioception track – set this facility apart as the top equine hospital in the region.

LOCATION: Columbus, NE ARCHITECT: Wilkins ADP This classroom wing renovation to an occupied college building includes the installation of new plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems throughout. The project also features new flooring and painted ceilings with tectum panels in the building’s main corridor, new ceilings in the classrooms, upgraded restrooms, and a new data room.

The building includes a large lobby with an impressive atrium, second and third-floor offices, training room, state-of-the-art community room, and fourth-floor executive board room with a walkout balcony. A separate building features three drive-thrus with Teller On Demands, as well as a night depository.

The Rebecca Lyn Hausmann Foundation was created to connect local families impacted by cancer with compassionate resources to motivate their journeys. A cancer diagnosis is a life-changing event, and treatments can add weight to an already heavy burden.

The RLH Foundation works to honor Rebecca’s charitable spirit and wish that others experience the compassionate relationships and kind offerings that encouraged her when she needed it the most. To date, the RLH Foundation has given over $220,000 to patients and their families to help alleviate financial concerns during their cancer journeys.

The many contributions allow the foundation to offer hope to families who desperately need it, particularly during the holidays. On behalf of the Hausmann family and everyone at the Rebecca Lyn Hausmann Foundation, we thank you for your continued generosity and support.
