2020 YEAR IN REVIEW
LETTER FROM THE
PRESIDENT
For the global population, 2020 has been a year for the books – the record book, the memory book, or perhaps the book we close and hope to leave unfinished. It has been no different for Hausmann Construction. When international news of Covid-19 developed, most of us never expected it to reach into our lives in the Midwest. Like everyone, our company was required to adapt in the face of this new challenge. Because we are an essential industry, our leaders in the office and in the field worked diligently to create safety and stability for everyone at Hausmann. Our employees even carried this into their volunteer efforts, when our Colorado team extended themselves to quickly organize a virtual internship program for displaced Construction Management students at Colorado State University, whose internships with various firms were canceled due to the pandemic. This is just one example of how Hausmann is dedicated to building relationships and communities, not just physical structures. Despite worldwide difficulties, our business continued to advance this year, expanding into the Kansas City market. With a people-first culture based on collaboration, relationship-building, and brainstorming, we worked to establish ourselves to our new clientele as a trustworthy steward of their vision and goals. Though many of us anticipate the closing of this year, we know that each new chapter presents a unique set of opportunities and challenges. I look forward to watching our talented, creative, and unrelenting team jump next year’s hurdles with as much agility and imagination as in this past year. Let’s celebrate the ways we have grown, both as a company and as individuals, with Hausmann’s 2020 Year-in-Review. With Appreciation,
Joey Hausmann, President

Hausmann’s business model includes a consistent focus on community betterment through the construction process, and philanthropy has been a natural off-shoot of that intention. A central facet of our dedication to the long-term success of the communities we serve has been our philanthropic giving. Contributions to hospitals, universities, iconic community pillars, and our non-profit clients have enhanced many lives and helped ensure the successful delivery of important community amenities. Hausmann’s pledge to support altruistic ventures has been further rewarded by the generosity of our team members, who are active and engaged volunteers for various nonprofits. Both as a company and as individual employees, Hausmann’s charitable efforts extend beyond financial giving into the sharing of our time and our hearts.
One of our specific endeavors is the Rebecca Lyn Hausmann Foundation, honoring the spirit, values, and passion of Rebecca Hausmann, whose battle with cancer ended in 2016. The foundation aims to support local families impacted by cancer, with a focus on young mothers undergoing treatment. Together we have raised more than $220,000 to help ease the burden of treatment for these families, especially during the holidays. RLHFOUNDATION.COM
