01 The Urban Podium
Waterfront Mixed-use Land Development 1 Port Street Mississauga, ON. Canada
Vision Statement
A landmark in Port Credit, celebrating its rich history and prime lakefront location. By incorporating diverse land uses, including commercial spaces and offices, we will enhance job opportunities and attract visitors. Heritage activities will preserve the area’s legacy, while promoting economic growth. The development will ensure efficient mobility, with well-planned roads, walkways, and bike lanes for easy access. Sustainable practices, such as solar energy and improved waste management, will foster a green, livable community. Ultimately, this project will transform the area into a self-sustaining hub with all essential amenities.
Concept Development
Cultivating a strong sense of community and identity, and establishing a landmark for the city. By celebrating Port Credit’s rich heritage and taking full advantage of its prime location along the beautiful lakefront, this development significantly enhances the area’s value and potential, transforming it into a vibrant and attractive destination. The site is thoughtfully divided into distinct land use zones to accommodate a variety of activities. This approach is fostering a thriving, successful neighborhood, while introducing commercial spaces and office buildings that will create job opportunities and draw more visitors to the area. Incorporating heritage-focused activities on-site will help preserve the historical significance of Port Credit and contribute to the local economy. Open Space Vision The Green Swirls
The open space plan for 1 Port Street prioritizes 2-3 key areas designed to offer a dynamic experience. By utilizing varying contours and topography, we create sheltered inland pockets and groves that offer protection from the wind and sun. These areas will also feature quiet zones for outdoor meditation, providing a peaceful retreat.
Elevated Ribbon
An elevated walkway, nestled among carefully chosen trees, will change color with the seasons and release pleasant aromas as the wind passes through their leaves. Research will determine optimal tree species and layout. This walkway will invite shoppers, diners, and families to enjoy views from above, offering an inclusive and safe experience for all ages.
Space Making Concept Plan
Walking on the Water
A series of walkways will connect wooden decks with benches and pergolas. The paths, painted with calming, interactive sidewalk art, will mark each seating zone and convey environmental messages. Positioned to offer privacy and stunning views, the decks will be easily accessible for all visitors, with ground-level walkways ensuring ease of access. Thoughtful landscaping will further enhance the beauty and experience.
The Podium and the People
Designed as an indoor activity space, the podium’s transparent façade will showcase the lively indoor experience to passersby. It will serve as a dynamic “screen,” displaying activities such as live performances, holiday celebrations, or everyday interactions, allowing pedestrians to feel connected to the action within.

Toronto Exhibition Place Sports Hotel
Toronto Exhibition Place Underused Land Re-Purposing Project, Toronto, ON. Canada
Vision Statement
This project aims to repurpose a key site in the heart of Toronto into a vibrant tourist destination. It will feature accessible public spaces, including double-entry points to private areas and a celebration plaza next to the Bank of Montreal soccer field. The plaza will host events, enhancing community engagement. The development will improve the public realm, increasing foot traffic and fostering social connections. By attracting more visitors, it will stimulate local businesses and boost the area’s economic activity, contributing to Toronto’s cultural and economic growth.
The Concept
The Sports Hotel is a unique and innovative structure designed to cater to diverse sports enthusiasts across different seasons. Featuring four distinct wings, each dedicated to a specific sport, the hotel will provide a specialized experience for guests. It will serve as a dynamic hub for both entertainment and dining, offering a welcoming space for tourists and locals alike, particularly those visiting Toronto for events at the nearby Exhibition sports buildings. The accompanying plaza, spanning 4,000 square meters, will transform the surrounding area from an industrial environment into a vibrant, active public space. The Exhibition Place Ontario Subway Line Station The Exhibition Place, Toronto, ON. Canada
Vision Statement
The proposal aims to improve placemaking, wayfinding, and safety on Manitoba Street through materials and activities. Enhancements include connecting the central transit node to the Bentway, paving the area for a pedestrian-only street with limited traffic, adding climate-controlled bus shelters, and placing benches under trees. Vendors will be encouraged to set up along the Shared Street to attract visitors. These upgrades will foster community use of the street and the nearby Gardiner Expressway while promoting adaptability.
The Concept
The revitalized TTC section of the Ex’s node aims to become a dynamic space for events and new vendor opportunities, offering a lively atmosphere between events. This transformation will create a year-round destination, enhancing the overall event experience. The addition of a new bus stop along Manitoba Dr. improves access to nearby attractions, including art exhibitions near the Bentway. Beneath the Gardiner, a sheltered walkway will connect Liberty Village to downtown, providing a practical route with activities, events, and rest spaces. The revitalization will activate a neglected area, turning it into a vibrant cultural center that leaves a lasting impression on visitors.
