Introduction to Ballet
Take off into the world of exciting choreography and classical music as our dancers showcase their technical agility and fine articulation of ballet. Introduction to Ballet is a lecture-cum-performance which allows students to gain insight into a dancer’s daily routine. This programme is suitable for students of all levels, whether at a primary school or tertiary level, where our dancers will demonstrate how ballet steps are executed. Students will also get to watch excerpts from the SDT’s theatrical repertoire, as well as understand the differences between classical and contemporary dance.

Dance Spectrum
Dance Spectrum is a new installment to compliment Introduction to Ballet. Participants will be brought to the next level of dance appreciation as well as learn about the development of dance styles. Students will be treated with excerpts from the SDT’s repertoires. Audience etiquette is an important part of any performance and participants will be introduced to the finer aspects.
Please note: Introduction to Ballet is essential before we proceed with Dance Spectrum, as Dance Spectrum is a sequel to the former.

Behind the Scenes tour
Take a peek into the life of a professional ballet company.
Walking into a dancer’s workplace and getting behind the scenes glimpses is another education and learning privilege that SDT offers to our audience. With a structured tour, individuals can explore our shoe room and wardrobe, and be familiar with what happens in a day of a dancer's life, as well as the unique working environment for the dancers to excel at their craft. This will give the individual a valueadded learning experience on everything about a dancer. At the end of the tour, individuals will be pleasured with the opportunity of being among the first to catch the upcoming repertoires through the dancers’ rehearsal moments.

30TH ANNIVERSARY SEASON 2018 – DIAMONDS AND PEARLS WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT!
To our dearest friends and supporters of Singapore Dance Theatre,
As Singapore’s most established professional dance company, we seek to be as transparent and honest with our loyal supporters. You may or may not know, but our box office ticket sales cover less than 35% of the total cost of our productions, theatre rental cost, in addition to the cost of our sets, costumes, pointe shoes, and marketing costs.
As a non-profit organisation, it is only through government grants, corporate sponsorships, donors’ support, and our loyal audiences, that we are able to continue developing and producing even higher quality performances for you. Therefore, to make our endeavour a greater possibility, we would like to appeal to you for your support.
Every donation counts, and it will be entitled to a dollar-for-dollar Cultural Matching Grant, by the Ministry of Culture, Community, and Youth. Hence your contribution to covering our cost will certainly reap an even more significant support for us. Your donation will also entitle you to a 250% tax deduction.
We sincerely seek your generous support, and we look forward to seeing you in the theatre!

With our eyes set on the future of Singapore’s arts scene, The Moon and The Stars (TMATS) Gala is Singapore Dance Theatre’s (SDT) most glamorous annual fundraising event. The evening seeks to share a little bit of our heart and lives at SDT, and to encourage and appreciate the continuous support of all our donors and friends. It is because of our donors’ generous kindness that the company can be where she is at today.
Every gala presents a unique experience of watching the dancers in an up-close and personal setting, along with a delightfully sumptuous dinner.
A spectacular event, where the most dedicated dance philanthropists will gather for an evening of fun, dance, and an exquisite dinner.
Some of the major donors for the evening were Tote Board and Singapore Turf Club, Mr Stephen Riady, Lee Foundation, and Mr Oei Hong Leong.

Adopt an Audience
At Singapore Dance Theatre, we believe in making the arts accessible to everyone, including the low-income, underprivileged, and disabled in our society. Our hope is to share our greatest joy for dance with those who may not have the privilege of attending a dance performance by their own means.
As such, we would like to seek your heartfelt contributions in making such blissful experiences possible for even more children from a wide range of organisations in Singapore. Your donation can help us to go a long way in bringing joy to these little ones.
For a donation of S$250, a group of about 10 beneficiaries (children, plus caregivers for those who have special needs) will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of enjoying a grand performance at the Esplanade Theatre. Donors will be entitled to a 2.5 tax rebate, as well as 1 complimentary ticket to the opening performance of your sponsored event. Companion tickets can be bought at 50% discount.
