OUR MONTHLY MISSIONARY MOTTO. "God's Work Must Not Stand Still." New Year's Greeting. May the new year of grace, just oegun, stir us to a lively appreciation of our great responsibility to bring Christ to the lost millions among the heathen and in our own fair land, and thus to do all we can towards lifting the stupendous, stagge1·ing burden of the world's great need!

Htwe ye folded home to your bosom The t rcmblin_g, neglected lamb1 And taught to the little lost one 'l'he sound or the She11hcrd's name? B1we ye searched for t he poor and needy With no clothing, no home, no b1·ead? The Son or Man was among them, Be 'had nowhere t o lily His head. Ha"e ye folded home to your bosom 'l'he parchM and thinty soul? Hn,•e ye sllid to the sick n.nd wouuded, "Christ Jesus can mnke thee whole"?

Alabama Notes. 'l'he Alabama. Luther Conference held its 1922 sessions nt Tilden, Novembe1· 5-9. 'l'hese sessions of Conference once more brought to mind the beauty nnd truthfulness of th_e words : ''Behold,

Hn\'C ye stood by the snd _and wenry To smooth the pillow of denth, 'l'o comfort the sorrow-stricken, And strengthen the feeble fn.ith? And luwe ye felt when the glory Has strenmed through the open door, And flitted across the shadows That I had been there before?

H1we ye wept with the broken-hearted In their , agony of woe? Ye might hear Mc whispering beside you, '"Tis the pathway I often go. My disciples, My friends, My brethren, Can ye dnre to follow Me?" '!'hen, where,•er the :M:~ster dwelletb, '!'here, too, shall the servant be. .tl11on.
