Local saxophone player Paul Scragg, aka ‘Saxy Scragg’ sparkled up to support the Ashgate Hospice Sparkle Walk. Paul is no stranger to the limelight as he has had a long playing career in ska and pop bands. By day he may be a mild mannered head‐teacher but come night he dons the sequins and has been making a name for himself locally having played gigs at various venues. He can also be booked for appearances at private events.

On the evening of the Sparkle Walk Paul donned his sparkliest suit and entertained the walkers as they passed along the by‐pass section of the walk. He told me “I thoroughly enjoyed the whole event, the atmosphere was great and lots of people stopped by to listen for a while. It was fantastic to be part of such a vibrant community night.”
