WHY ROCKET PAYE?

Rocket Paye, are a forward thinking, contractor focused payroll provider, offering best in class service, coupled with compliance and transparency. We have streamlined all our processes to make the worker journey as simple, time efficient and painless as possible. All of our registration forms and website is translatable into

any language that is required and the workers have access to a 24/7 Whatsapp service or a customer help line in business hours. We operate PAYE Umbrella, giving workers consistent employment and CIS giving skilled construction workers the benefit of 20% tax on all earnings. We have a flexible margin structure to suit you and your business and there are multiple options when it comes to paying your weekly invoices with us.

PAYE UMBRELLA

PAYE Umbrella is a PAYE payment method, backed by an employment contract, providing a worker with consistent employment and one employer, regardless of the amount of assignments they engage with.

Rocket Paye act as the workers employer, providing them with payments that are at least National Living Wage. Continuous employment is so important for contract workers that don’t have guaranteed hours, because when they come to apply for loans, car finance, mortgages or rental agreements, a continuous income from the same employer is vital. So, if your worker, works multiple assignments, with different end clients and even agencies, we can provide that employment stability the worker craves.

On top of this, as the worker is deemed as

employed, they are auto-enrolled into a pension, through our pension partner Smart Pension.

Initially, the worker is deferred for 3 months but then contributes weekly as well as Rocket contributing the employers pension contribution which is now mandatory.

Workers are also entitled to Holiday Pay, with a choice of how it is paid to them, whether it be advanced each week or accrued into a pot, ready to be claimed when the worker actually goes on holiday.

Finally, the worker has the security of knowing that if they are sick or have a baby, they are entitled to SSP, statutory Mat and Pat Pay.

All in all, a solution for the temporary worker, that creates security, stability and opportunities for their future.

CIS

CIS is the payment option for skilled construction operatives, who are deemed to be NOT under supervision, direction and control. Using a valid Unique Tax Reference number or UTR number and a personal NI number, workers can take advantage of a flat 20% tax deduction on all earnings, regardless of the amount they earn.

Our systems integrate directly with HMRC allowing us to verify a UTR number at source within a matter of seconds, ensuring accurate payments every time.

CIS workers are required to submit a self-assessment at the end of each tax year, where they can submit their yearly expenses and their yearly earning to calculate any additional tax that is due or in some cases, what tax rebate is due. Rocket Paye are partnered with an accountancy practice that can aid workers with their tax returns.

A flexible payment method, where we take a workers Gross wage and deduct the necessary 20% tax, whilst providing all the benefits of self-employment and the flexibility these workers crave, when choosing their own hours and pay rates.

PROFESSIONAL PASSPORT ACCREDITATION

WHAT IS PROFESSIONAL PASSPORT ACCREDITATION?

Professional Passport is completely independent of any provider, agency or end client and as such are in a unique position to objectively advise each sector of the marketplace. Their compliance standards go further and are designed to not only ensure that providers that are recommended operate compliantly within HMRC tax rules but also across the many other areas of legislation that apply. PP require the highest level of transparency in their operations to ensure workers are clear on any arrangements entered in to.

PP are continually reviewing and updating our standards to keep our providers at the forefront of operational standards and driving best practice across the sector. Furthermore, often

legislation does not change but how this is interpreted and enforced can so we ensure any enforcement changes are reflected in the compliance standards.

These high standards have meant that PP are the only compliance accreditation that is supported by blue chip insurance and therefore we will never compromise our standards.

WHAT DO PROFESSIONAL PASSPORT DO?

As well as PP’s ongoing formal assessments of their providers, they receive continual market intelligence from all of their members. If any information was provided that suggested something was not right they always act immediately and fully investigate.

This market intelligence also helps keep up fully up to date with any new ‘have I got a great idea for you’ offerings entering the market. This complete picture also helps PP with new enquiries for compliance reviews as they are often already aware of the provider and their offerings; some of these conversations can be quite short.

Where PP review a provider they will apply their comprehensive range of standards and checks across all the offerings available to ensure that if you, our member, recommend a worker to a provider you can do so safe in the knowledge that PP have signed everything offthis is not the case with other compliance reviews on the market.

PP are often asked why we do not publish our detailed compliance standards; the answer is quite simple:

Whilst PP do carry out periodical checks on the financial standings of providers they do not have any day to day control of their finances and therefore recommend that members carry out their own financial due diligence on providers they are considering.

This certification offers real-time auditing of umbrella companies, guaranteeing compliance and upholding ethical standards. The REC are the Recruitment membership body, that provide legal help and support for all recruitment agencies across the UK. They strive to make the industry easy to operate in and endorse on the best suppliers that they feel will benefit agencies.
