Dear HIM Family,
For the past four years, I have been sharing that we are living in an extraordinary time of global shaking and greater glory. From the onset of the Covid-19 lockdowns to skyrocketing inflation, the extreme progressive Left agenda, and escalating global conflicts—including the diabolical Hamas attack that took over 1,200 lives in Israel on October 7, 2023—all the nations of the globe have gone through an unprecedented time of shaking (Haggai 2:7-9).
The darkness we are witnessing today is being used by God as a backdrop for the great light of revival and reformation to break out. In my 50-plus years of walking with Jesus, I have never seen such a stark contrast between the “deep darkness” covering the nations and the greater glory of God being
revealed (see Isaiah 60:1-3). I believe with all my heart that we are entering into a Third Great Awakening, which will encompass both the darkness getting darker and the light getting brighter.
Isaiah 60:1-3 — “Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. For behold, darkness will cover the earth and deep darkness the peoples; but the LORD will rise upon you and His glory will appear upon you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.”
I define a Great Awakening as a national revival and reformation of society. In this case, the revival and reformation will spread throughout the world to other nations. It is interesting to note the First Great
Awakening of 1738 and the Second Great Awakening of 1801 had the dark backdrop of two of the great wars in America, the Revolutionary War (April 19, 1775 – September 3, 1783) and the Civil War (April 12, 1861 – April 9, 1865). I am not prophesying another great world war like WWII (1939-1945), but the truth of the matter is that Russia and Ukraine are at war, and Israel is at war with Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran. Objectively speaking, things could escalate to Taiwan and other parts of the world during this Third Great Awakening.
One of the reasons why I am so optimistic about the move of God taking place is that we are seeing a global revival happening right now! Recently, I had the privilege to speak at two campuses of a church with 1,200 campuses and a church membership of 300,000 in Indonesia, under the leadership of Pastor Niko Njotorahardjo, the Senior Pastor of GBI (Gereja Bethel Indonesia) Church. Indonesia, which is the world’s largest Muslim nation, is now 35 percent born-again believers. This is only one example of the many nations that are experiencing genuine revival, ranging from Brazil and Latin America to Nigeria, Mozambique, India, China, and the underground church throughout the Middle East. Tens of thousands of souls are being born again every day primarily in the Global South. However, along with the harvest of souls, this Third Great Awakening will bring about massive righteousness and justice around the globe. From a macro global perspective, this much is clear: I believe that we are near the end of the last days, and God is on the move like never before!

Reformation is to bring biblical values and justice to society and her institutions. By extension, reformers are those who make changes and improvements to social, political, or economic practices or constructs. If we are seeking heaven’s culture for our day and age, we must partner with God’s desire to reform society for His glory. Righteousness and biblical justice in society are major signs of reformation taking place.
God cares so much about our society that He wants us to be activists for His Kingdom. That is why it is so important for us to vote biblically in the 2024 elections. True reformation will impact every facet of life, and I believe that is God’s heart for this generation. We are praying for lasting societal transformation where godly, just laws prevail and where cultural values align with biblical principles.
Let’s pray: “Lord Jesus, You are the God of revival and reformation. Make me a catalyst for Your Kingdom—to bring righteousness, justice, mercy, and truth in my sphere of influence.
Lord, send revival to my nation, and empower Your Ekklesia to be stewards of revival unto the transformation of society. In Jesus’ mighty name, amen!”
