HIM GLOBAL CONNECT: COMING UP NEXT

Dear HIM Family, round-the-world journey ministering among several of our HIM churches in South Africa and Hong Kong. In both nations, I witnessed many miracles of healing and salvation as the Spirit of God is moving powerfully in this season. Most of all, I am seeing the Father’s heart being poured out over the nations wherever I go. I believe God is calling the Church back into a demonstration of His power in order to reveal His nature—to a world in desperate need of both revelations. Many prophetic voices have been saying that 2024 is a historic year. It is the year of the pivot, the year of the change. But we must ask ourselves: Who is going to make the pivot? Who is going to catalyze the change? The tides are shifting, sometimes with serious repercussions, as we have seen in the United States of America. Indeed, our own judicial system, which is one of America's last lines of defense, was compromised on May 31 when former President Trump was unjustly convicted by a judge in New York state. Our prayers are vital to uphold the structures of righteousness and justice in our society—so, now is the time to double-down in intercession, as each day brings us closer to the November elections.

As our nation teeters on the brink of change, I believe the Church holds the key to turn the tide in our nation. This goes beyond the realm of politics and involves the application of righteousness in our spheres of inﬂuence. surrounding us, our nation can—and will—see the glory of God shine even brighter. is coming forth to embrace our roles as salt, light, and leaven, inﬂuencing society for our Father’s glory (Matthew 5:13-16; 13:33).

Church, it’s time to break free from passivity and walk in our rightful authority. In the Old Testament, the Hebraic culture exercised their authority through a sound. That is why the tribe of Judah (praise) went ﬁrst in battle to defeat the enemy with a sound (Judges 20; 2 Chronicles 20), and the walls of Jericho fell to the blast of trumpets and the shout of God’s people (Joshua 6). We must strengthen our voices and release a sound that reverberates with the values of God’s Kingdom.

As we navigate the current cultural landscape, we must remember that righteousness and justice are foundational to Kingdom living. They go hand-in-hand with God’s truth and lovingkindness. So, what does it look like to continue

operating in the love of God while we advance His Kingdom in a world that is so polarized and deemed as the enemy?

One of the keys that the Lord has reminded me of is the importance of growing into our identity as sons and daughters. I think of Gideon, who was encountered by God while threshing wheat hidden in a winepress (Judges 6). God moved Gideon out of hiding, infused him with identity and purpose, and raised him up to lead an army (Judges 7). Likewise, God is calling us out of places of familiarity and complacency into unfamiliar territory—ultimately, to lead the Ekklesia into greater levels of victory.

In this hour, your ﬁvefold calling is needed to bring transformation to the world around you.
