Design Concepts

The drawing package displayed along with design concepts and 3d massing was devised as part of the Corroborrie Centre project. The a im of the project was to design a Corroborrie Centre for the Arts on an exist ing carpark. The aim of the design's organic and formless glass façade is to serve as both a cultural signifier though it's similar disposition to an Indigenous tent structure; and through it's unique and challenging aesthetic, provides ample architectural energy to properly serve as a cultural arts centre. Considering the lack of any design overlays within the site's placement, it is free of any restrictions as along as some semblance of design consideration was made to the existing area. Whilst the overarching glass structure serves as a progressive and architecturally challenging piece, the interior spaces will follow a more modernist approach, with architecturally sound planar spaces that offer the most efficient means of housing people-centred spaces.
