About

HART is a not-for-profit arts organisation with a mission to foster collaboration and community value through a sustainable culture of creativity.

A collective of art spaces and art programming, HART is dedicated to the facilitation of cultural dialogue, collaboration and new possibilities for art creation, and to that end supports and enables Hong Kong’s creative community through diverse and extensive exhibition, event, workshop, artist atelier and salon programming.

HART is committed to nurturing local talent and acting as a platform for innovation, inspiration and cross pollination among the creative sectors. As a key player in establishing a robust art ecosystem in Hong Kong and ensuring the next generation of artists and art lovers are supported and championed, HART’s programming extends to community-based arts education and outreach for the under-resourced groups in Hong Kong. HART is operated by HART Collective Limited, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Henderson Land Development Company Limited.

At HART, we see the importance of hands-on making, collaboration and knowledge sharing to pave for a stronger and more sustainable local arts and cultural ecosystem in Hong Kong. Social Studio is the arts and creative incubator program at HART Haus, a space and platform for Hong Kong talents to create, experiment and evolve their art practices in a social setting. Participating artists, creative talents, or ‘Hausians’, are invited to join through our ‘open call’, and are provided with studio space, resources for collaboration, and opportunities to integrate their practice with the larger community. Our program tradition Showcase provides Hausians the unique experience to present new works of art within their place of work to the public, celebrating diversity and quality of works.

Social Studio Since our establishment in 2018, HART has worked with over 60 artists amongst our Social Studio sessions, nurturing an open community that facilitated more than 50 programs and workshops. Upon completing each session, artists join our extensive Alumni Hausian network and are welcome to continuously connect and collaborate with the HART community throughout their career.

2018年成立至今，HART於不同季度的匯舍與超過 六十位藝術家合作。透過營造一個開放的社群，我

HART Hub are experiences organised by HART team and Hausians of Social Studio to share artistic practices and recent topics of interest, as well as to encourage conversations between art practitioners, talents in the creative industry and the public. They come in the format of a sharing session, an experience workshop, a panel discussion… or simply, there isn’t a need of format.

HART Hub是由HART團隊和Hausians一起舉辦的 體驗式交流會，我們希望藉此定期活動加強藝術實

踐的分享和更多探討與時並進的話題，以促進藝術 文化創意行業圈內圈外人士跟大眾的交流及對話。 交流會型式包括分享會、體驗工作坊、座談…… 不過或許，我們並不需要任何型式。

By creating and leading continuous discussions and explorations, HART has been striving to address the growing demand for professional training in the field of art administration and management. HART has developed a series of interactive sharing sessions since 2019, we discovered such topical investivations attract not only professional practitioners, but also art enthusiats from the general public in Hong Kong.

Our programs (classroom sharing and field trips) include: • 5 COURSES - Sharing as a Manager in the Arts Industry • RERUN & ELEVATE - Sharing on Art Management 透過不斷探索及開展對話，HART一直致力回應在藝 術行政與管理行業裏，對專業訓練與日俱增的需求。

自2019年，我們創立了一系列互動分享活動，HART 發現這個專題的深入探究不只吸引行內專業人士，還 包括頗多熱衷藝術的香港公眾。

HART | Beat | Knowledge Sharing Tailor-made exchange sessions are also on offer depending on participants’ interests.

Upon completion of the program, HART|Beat Alumni are subscribed to our extensive network, latest updates and resources, providing further support to engagement in the industry of arts. Within less than a year time, more than 70 learners have already joined our knowledge sharing sessions, while many still maintain close contact with us. 因應參加者的不同興趣，HART樂意提供度身訂造

HAPPEN with HART HART believes that every individual possesses knowledge and experience in aesthetics, and a glimpse of art can connect people. HAPPEN with HART is a project initiated by HART to present creativity and artistic talents in Hong Kong. By turning HART Hall’s shopfront window into a showcase platform, HART presents a great diversity and variety of art in the heart of the city. Every artist invited to present their creations shares our belief in the power of creativity and collaboration.

Community Outreach 社區拓展

HART organises regular tours for HART Haus artists and friends of HART to explore hidden gems in local arts and culture. Together we visited local craftsmen and masters in garments and fabric, as well as timber and wood, to learn more about the traditional arts and crafts industry in Hong Kong. We also explored different facets of Hong Kong’s arts scene by visiting up-and-coming eco-friendly brands and creative agencies, in order to foster communication and exchange.

In Tai Kok Tsui — a district where old meets new, HART collaborated with artist and Alumni Hausian Max Cheng, to launch our first arts and cultural seed program — Make

Community Outreach

Scents @ Square Mile Plus. By using over 400 kinds of raw materials collected from different parts of the world to create the ‘Scent Library’ and through sensory experiential workshops, Make Scents @ Square Mile Plus linked up different communities by injecting creativity and artistic energy in daily life. From 2019 to early 2020, Make Scents @ Square Mile Plus ran more than 170 different events (from academic seminars, healthcare talks to incense making workshops), demonstrating potentials of the chemistry between creativity and cultural transformation to more than 2800 visitors from the neighbourhood and participants around Hong Kong. 在新舊交融的大角咀，HART與藝術家暨Hausian
